For 's unique portrait contest here:[link]This is my first drawing of 2009. I know I'm late. I'm suffering artist's block, aka the unwanting to draw/unable to pick up the pencil/no inspiration.
I haven't drawn in almost a month again. It's becoming a bad habit. I feel like I'm slowing getting worse.

Ahh, I know the feeling. Usually, when I feel like this, I turn to artbooks to spark some inspiration or ideas. Or just looking at art in general helps. I can give you a list of sites, if you'd like! (:
And as for the picture, I really like the sketchy feel. It fits with his expression.

I like the misalignment and sketchy quality. It looks very emotional-maybe a reflection of how you seem to be feeling. My only critique is that the very black part under his nose is a little distracting, but other than that it's very well-done!

i know what u mean, ur not getting worse, its just a phase that all artists go through. u'll grow out of it. just keep looking 4 new sources of inspiration. they're EVERYwhere
the only advice i can give u with this one is to define the values and to make sure that his facial features are aligned correctly
