"Me? Hee-yell no. I just reckon you should have ten minutes out, can't have you collapsing from exhaustion. Then I really WOULD have to do the paperwork, and no-one wants that."
"Particularly, YOU don't want that."
"Damn straight."
Col. Hardy, struggling with the logistics of moving an underprepared unit at short notice. Since the B.A.D doesn't have a LOGO yet the job has to be split between her and WES. Many late nights ahead....
When I have lots of work to get through, I like to draw people in the same predicament... makes me feel better. Did this in less than a day. Haven't drawn Hardy in awhile, seemed like a good oppertunity to now. Bit of a different take on the B.A.D's firey red-headed commander.
So yeah, I'm gonna be pretty busy for awhile. Don't expect to see much till friday week.

it's the little details, i love the fact the calanceris acctualy on august. i have to say she doesnt' look that disgrunteld. You give the impression shes bee at it for hours and may fall asleep from being so tired yet she's still quite smart, hairs not at all messy and i don't care what her feet may smell like am sure the boots would be off by now

Indeed, this is a really awesome drawing - especially since you got around to drawing it while being so busy yourself. )
I'm lucky, my crushing workload hasn't started up yet, but my brother could probably have sympathized. Here's poor old 2Lt. Schneider, just passed his one-year anniversary in the service, and he was the acting XO for a battallion (working above his pay grade, as the saying goes). Since the lion's share of his unit is over in Iraq, he was the only junior officer left, along with the other off-rotation guys, some wounded-in-actions, and some disciplinary cases.
Now he's not doing the paperwork, though. He's in airborne training at the moment. Funny story - one of the folks in training with him is a major, and he packed his kit wrong... so he got clean-up duty. And of course you really shouldn't laugh at the major picking up litter on base, but...

Sounds like your brother's got his work cut out of him there... ahh well, it'll look pretty good when it comes time for promotions to be handed out though, and at least he'll have the experience under his belt as well. Not that that's probably much comfort right now though... Still, airborne training can't be all bad.

Awesome detail work as always. Reminds me of the dedication I loved with Murray Ball's Footrot Flats. After all, there's more to a work than the characters themselves, to help portray everything.

It's just a shame that Ball didn't continue with the series after the death of his dog. My family had collected the entire series for the most part, but there's been so many years... so things get misplaced, and some books get ruined by mishaps, like animal teeth. So we're on the hunt for a complete set in good condition. My bro already has in mind to buy some limited edition DVD of the movie. Nothing quite like it. Like Hercules Returns. XD

It's amazing to see so much attention to object detail. I'm not familiar with LOGO but are the faces s'posed to be that way? Pretty marvellous work nevertheless.... here you go!

"LOGO" is short for "Logistics Officer". Basically the unit is incredibly undermanned and doesn't have one, so the Commander and Executive Officer are having to organize getting equipment together for deployment.
