There were an awful lot of transforming robot toy brands in the 80s, and Remco's Zybots were one of them. I somehow wound up with a few doubles of these "cheap" plastic toys, and surprisingly, they've held up better than the "rugged" die cast figures from the same time. Among these were the bulldozer robot on the left (a few sources name it "Earthbreaker"), which was actually a really blatant imitation of the Gobot Dozer*, and the uncreatively named "Sports Car" on the right. Due to their small size and simplicity, I actually enjoyed playing with these more than the bulky, easily broken Transformers in my collection....*That's right, it was a ripoff of a GOBOT. They couldn't afford to imitate the successful brand?
