I'm sure this has been said at least 20 times for this deviation, but I simply loved "Flowers for Algernon". The only reason I'd ever have a pet rat would be to call him that! x3
Great work!

I've read about scientists growing a human ear on a lab rat, but this is ridiculous.
Sorry if someone already made this joke.

Flowers for Algernon was really sad! But that's a cute rat--is he albino? What strain?

You're right; he could be nearly anything; Wistar, Sprague-Dawley, Fisher, etc etc etc. Is he thin or fat? Lazy or active?

He's pretty lazy, and he got pretty fat too ^^

I'm curious, is that a reference to the short story Flowers for Algernon? Seeing as there is a lab rat there and all.

(hehe) I had to yell out loud "'e's a RAT" both times Algernon was called a mouse! There is a silly show called "Hammie Hamster" that is a continuation of an original show "Tales from the Riverbank" which has real animals with cheesy voice dubs. In the original, they used mice to play Martha Mouse but in the new ones, they used rats to play Martha Mouse which bugged me to no end (nothing against either species but they ARE NOT THE SAME). The guy who used to work on the original went to the Isle of Man and made his own series but the main star was Roderick Rat instead of a hamster which was doubly good because they were giving rats a good name and using the right species for the role.... but they used gerbils instead of water voles for the "river rats"... well I guess I will have to make my own shows if I want it done right.

I found one of the episodes of the guy who went to England to make his own series ("Further Tales of the Riverbank") but this episode has a hilarious James Bond redubbing:

A lot of people are suddenly doing self portraits. xD
This is the first time I've heard of Artrage. Is it similar to Painter?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
wredwrat In reply to neithale [2007-02-26 11:30:26 +0000 UTC]
Yes, it's very much like Painter. I find that the way Artrage handles paint is looser and there are less confusing windows and options to fiddle with.
It's really good for fast sketching!
