Something I noticed in your art and something I admire very much is how you use mostly one color and different shades of it to add a certain theme.

Hmm, youre right. I guess when I'm looking for stock I tend to match it up by color, then use color balance and hue/saturation to make it all fit together.

When I take photos I leave the colors untouched, especially if it's of the sky. If you look at my most recent pictures, you'll see why I felt no need to play around with the color settings. If I do anything to the color, it's usually a greyscale conversion.
