Description
Since I've not submitted here for a very long time, I've been persuaded - by my friend to submit some of my old traditional airbrushing.

This is about 6 years old, airbrush acrylics on CS10 Illustration Board, about 10inches x 6inches
This - and the other black and white airbrushed pictures here - are painted with transparent black airbrush acrylic in very light layers with any highlights scratched out with a scalpel blade (for the hair) or erased with a selection of rubbers and fibreglass erasers (for the skin). You can then tone down these highlights with another layer of airbrushed transparent black and then pick out further highlights, repeating the process until the full range of tones is built up. You can only do this when working on illustration board or clayboard which have hard enough surfaces to withstand constant erasing and scratching.
No white paint is used at all.
