Pinch hitting an art request for ryttu3k over at 500year_diary .Request was some five/ten crack!art, so here it is.
Ten has finally received his half of a parcel swap, but all feels strangely familiar...
The cookies are gingerbread.
Why is Jack there? Why *wouldn't* Jack be there, is the question I think you're asking.
Done in Open Canvas, and I was playing with putting in textures. I really love this old paper that I'm using as a background, I think I'm going to have to use it again.

I think I just love these kinds of eyes. I also love Glen Keane's eyes, and the ones in like... The Sword and the Stone.

Alas, my natural style just looks distorted with elements the wrong size or in the wrong places. I have to scale/move elements in just about everything I draw. I also can't draw without a source image. Shouldn't grumble though, I'm getting much much better at drawing from source images, better than I ever imagined I could get...

When I was drawing that, I wanted some reference on the colour of the inside of an oven, so I googled 'watching cookies bake' or something like that, and the first pictures that came back were all of kids sitting on little chairs watching the oven intently.

There was always something magical about polaroids, wasn't there? We were never lucky enough to have one, but they did at my school, and I loved watching the image develop like *magic*. Too bad the film was so expensive.
I think the Doctor has an entire room filled with polaroids. And roughly half of them have the gnome he stole from Missus Flibbertywidget, in 1954. He's been meaning to give that back...
My lifedrawing teacher actually told us about buying a couple of hundred of dollars worth of paper, scanning it, and then returning it. XD I wouldn't get all the pretty speckles though, which was what I really liked about this page.
Returned merch = monies in my pocket. Or yours. I guess you could keep the monies.
