Like what was the hardest part to design? How did you solve the crafting problems?
π: 0 β©: 1
WulWhite In reply to DarkMonsterHunter666 [2012-06-13 13:16:47 +0000 UTC]
The hardest part was the dreads,i was scratch my head for hours how to do that, finally i was spindle a wooden stick in the size of the dreads, depict it with the Dragonskin silicone, when it drys,i turn inside-out,so the smooth surface came outside, and also its matt. Than i fill it with small polystyrene balls and wooden sawdust,so the movement became great and its still light in weight.

Thank you! With all the research work, with the lates because of money, all together it was take about a year. The most, hardest days with work was take about a half year.

I really admire you that you have the motivation to work on a cosplay for such a long time. ^^

I can survive in it... it is not like the guys feel at this vid,at 7:55 [link] but still hot, even with its back is full opened,no foam,no silicone, only the resin armor. As you say,the upper arms, stomach is foamed and covered with silicone, not latex, everywhere else leather and resin armor. It is fitts for my body as a glove,so the first time was strange, but now i feel it comfy to move. Leave leather parts as much as you can,and use many armors, the air can move under the armors more than the latex/silicone parts. I think i use some paint, and special chemicals, rather then real dust, because every time when i suit up and get wet,the foams drink in the wet,and its get smelly like a musty water,so i wash it every time when i use it. So real dirt is not hold for long in this way..

Oh wow.. just.. wow. I think this is the most realistic yautja cosplay I've ever seen. You could work on the hair a bit to get it more detailed other than the 'jewelry' if you know what I mean, but overall it's a 10/10 in the scale of damn epicness. @_@ I'd recommend you to dust the loincloth a bit and weather the leather pieces for more battle-tested look like the heavily weathered shoulderpad. Did you make it yourself, man? It must've taken a lot of epic skillz!

WulWhite In reply to Klerych [2012-05-01 07:17:45 +0000 UTC]
Thank you! But i say at The Hunters Lair you can found a lot of more detailed, realistic suits, like Jason's :
[link] My goal was to make a suit "light" as possible, with a lot of leather,so i won't cook inside of it,like rather in a full latex/silicone suit. Yeah, it needs more dust and weathered look,i am working on it. All the things except the hands i do myself,it was take a lot of time.

To answer your question, look around at The Hunters Lair's Marketplace. It depends the materials, who make it,is it raw or painted, etc etc. I will make for sale in the future: the head mask, and the bio mask, trophy necklace, blades.
