Dedicated to my brotherI wrote this on my facebook page back on 21st May...
"Something amazing just happened. I was thinking about how troubled i was over my
brother's death, and when i gazed out the window, i saw a fox! i have never seen
one before! It looked straight at me and then strolled off. Left me with a
feeling of wonder.
Funnily enough, i was going to mention just before that incident, that a few
weeks prior to my brother's passing, i was hearing a strange sound outside. I
figured it was a bird of some kind but didn't recognize it. Then late one night
i went outside, just to catch some fresh air and heard it again. It was flying
directly above me, a white owl!
Since my brother died, i have not heard it again.
Nature's mysterious ways."

You did a very good job on incorporating everything into a fluid, lovely picture that warms the heart. It's a little haunting in how it is set (the darker forest) but that makes it a stronger image in my mind. I like this image very much.

You're welcome. I suppose, because I am comfortable with things that are darker, this is a comforting scene to me. Bittersweet because of the reasoning behind it but still one I like very, very much. ( I know what you mean. Sometimes it is nearly impossible, if not completely so, for me to get a scene written down the way I see it.)
