The Dark Companion has been making token appearances throughout the Reign of Sin narratives (www.reignofsin.com ) - but this is our first glimpse of him in the (somewhat diabolical) flesh!

While he is a benevolent - or at least, neutral - presence in our prophet's visions, the land he inhabits is unquestionably governed by sinister forces, and I wanted to convey that in his portrait. His design incorporates all four suits of the Reign of Sin deck in his design - a peacock crown for Pride, a coin for Greed, a snake for Envy, and a flame for Wrath. The Dark Companion will eventually find his way into the Reign of Sin deck as one of the jokers - so don't imagine that we have seen the last of him...
