If the fire in TK's heart had been guttering before, the sight of the approaching villainess was enough to fan it back into a roaring conflagration - though this time her exertions were at first tinged more with frantic desperation than with fiery defiance. She started bucking and writhing against the unyielding chains like a wild woman, tossing her head about and raging behind the ballgag as if she'd gone totally insane.

But despite the sheer ferocity of her struggles, they achieved nothing more than they had thusfar, and before more than a few anxious moments passed, the sinister villainess was settling onto the rubbery mattress at TK's side. TK gave her head one more vicious snap, then locked her gaze on the other tigress' own, breathing heavily, fury blazing from her eyes. Yet again, the other seemed to find this endearingly amusing, judging by the smile and little chuckle she gave, but TK was well beyond caring. Whatever TK did, this wretched...creature...seemed to think it was funny, so there was no point in holding anything back. If she drew pleasure from TK's defiance, then so be it: That didn't take anything away from it, and TK resolved not to give this witch any more control over her than she already had taken. This far, TK declared with silent determination, and no farther!

"Ooooh... Feisty!" the pale miscreant sneered down, meaning it. "So far not much in the escape artist department, but you're every bit the spitfire I heard ya were. You're gonna be a real handful, oh yes you are. I can't wait..."

"Frrrlfgh yrrlnmgfth..." TK muffled angrily, brow furrowing in even greater outrage.

With no more than another wicked snicker, the white tigress brought up the rubbery, sponge-lined thing and pressed it firmly over TK's muzzle. Even when she took up a small test-tube-like vial and began to pour its pale pinkish contents through a hole in the apex of the cup, TK never broke eye contact with her, never looked one iota less defiant. Still and all, her brow flickered a bit as the stuff soaked through the sponge inside the rubbery-smelling mask, its sickly-sweet odor quickly filling up the world. The drug blew through TK's mind like a whirlwind this time, and while she fought its effects, she didn't hold her breath. She was simply too tired, and knew it would be pointless anyway. She wasn't giving in; she just calculated that it would gain her more to conserve her badly-depleted strength for whatever was going to come after this latest bout with unconsciousness. Her villainous captor finally seemed to be getting toward her "point" and if the "preliminaries" were any indication, TK was going to need everything she had - and then some. So, the vile stuff worked its evil magic and, bit-by-bit, TK felt the now all-too-familiar sense of creeping numbness stealing through her body.

Her assailant watched with an intense, eager glitter in her eyes, clearly enjoying the stoic show TK was making of the situation. When it was clear that her prisoner was finally succumbing, she winked and said, "Oh, and by the way? Name's Sonya... Just thought ya might like to know who it was that finally brought ya down - for good."

TK clung to that little scrap of information like a magical talisman, the only point of solidity there seemed to be in the swirling black chaos of her rapidly-receding thoughts. Because if she'd had the power of speech, she would have had a little message for this "Sonya", herself: 'And I always like to know the names of the people whose butts I'm gonna kick...' And with that valiant little thought to light her way, TK finally spiraled beneath the surface and was gone once more...

And time for another specific "credit where credit is very due" moment: The last two scenes have featured the "Rubber Gas Mask" freebie prop created by the very-skilled Somniculosus , here on DA. Check out his gallery - he does GREAT, comic-book styled work, particularly if you like sleepy/chloro scenarios. I stuffed one of the sponges from Peemot's "ECT Set" inside it and added a "ring" in the second pic (not normal features of the mask prop) so it would have that sponge lining, but aside from that and a little adjustment to make it fit TK's face, the prop's exactly as Somniculosus made it. A heartfelt thanks goes out to him for creating something I for one have been looking for (but lacked the skill to make) for a looong time - and for doing such a fantastic job with it. (Now...just to have to arrange a meeting between Randi and that nice Choloroform Cloth prop he made... )
