Description I know, it's been forever since an update, so I'm gonna try to do a couple to make up for the slack. This picture is actually oldish, because I lost my camera 2 months ago, but it's a good thing I had back-up.

So I like this pond, and want one JUST like it when I get my home, minus fish. So more like a pretty puddle.

That pond sounds more amazing than this one. Ooh, I wish I could see it. I love ponds.

I wish I had taken a picture. It was about six feet high, and there was a waterfall that fell all the way to the ground, where there was a deeper portion (the top was about 16" deep), and we had a screen over the waterfall part so that the stupid fish couldn't go through, because for them, it's a looooooong way down. Anyhow, the whole thing was glass, so that you could see everything, and there were river rocks and shale on the bottoms. Unfortunately, the people let my boss talk them into putting cichlids in there. If you don't know, you don't WANT to know what they are, crappy fish.

Sadly, I am aware of that fish, and no, I don't like them. I'm actually an oranda person. I love them.

It sounds fantabulous.

Really? I woulda never pegged you for liking goldfish. I'm not particularly fond of goldfish (I know too much about fish and so it turns me off to them) but I do somewhat like black moors. They've always interested me. I'm an amazonian river fish person, myself. I like silver dollars, cardinal tetras, leaf fish, and such.

I hear that a lot. I go for simple pets or plants, since daily life is too complicated for much more. Low maintanance.

Don't know anything about amazonian river fish, and I've never even heard of the leaf fish. I do like the others though.

I suppose it would be. But what about before the cancer? No bigger pets then?

Oh man, leaf fish are so cool. They look like rotted, brown leaves and when a bug comes close to the surface (where they hang out) they nab them. I like Archer fish, too. ^^ Amazonian fish are sooooo interesting. I hope I can get a tank going soon.

I do have a dog. But she's antisocial and only cuddles like...once a month for maybe ten seconds. She will let children pet her though, largely because it's the only way she gets to go to the park. Lol, she's hates baths. I can have pets, I just prefer ones like her. My mom has some horrid little infestation of fur and tongue that will not leave you alone and has to be attached to a person 24/7. Ugh.

I want a leaf fish now. That sounds so cool.

I know what you mean. Our dog is insanely attached to human life. And people let him get away with murder, which reverses my training with him. Like, when Bryan's grandmother comes over, she lets him jump all over her, even though I've taught him not to jump on people. Then I yell at him, and I'M the mean one. >.< Then he has to be right at their feet, staring with his puppy-dog eyes, pleading to be petted. And he does it because he HAS to be petted by anyone with hands in a three-mile vicinity. If I didn't insist on a baby gate to keep him out of the bedroom(I HATE closed doors) he would be on the bed.

^^ I know about all kinds of cool fish.

Wynterstoops In reply to InuYashaSesshomaru [2010-01-27 00:20:07 +0000 UTC]

Lol, I think I reverse trained my dog. I'm the only one she jumps on, and I'm not sure how this happened, but she comes from a rather vicious mother pit bull, and pit/boxer mix father who is an absolute prick to kids, but my dog loves kids. I remember her first batch of puppies. She would actually let the little ones in to pet them, and only freaked out if anyone other than me ran off with one. No barking, just whining.

Aw. <3 It could just be that she loves you so much that she gets excited and jumps. If I allowed it, my dog would jump on me. Sometimes he gets excited and does it and I have to yell at him, but mostly he misbehaves when we have visitors.

BTW, just in case: to train a dog NOT to jump on you - when they do it, turn and walk away. Don't say anything. Eventually, they'll get the point that they won't get any attention by doing that.

Wynterstoops In reply to InuYashaSesshomaru [2010-01-27 22:41:51 +0000 UTC]

Woah! Double operation? Was this around the time you gave birth? What happened?

^.^ That would both rock, and be terrifying. I love it when the kids get old enough to walk, but I swear some of them were born nice, and the other 80% are destined to search and destroy.

I know the feeling. But I feel I'm just strict enough. For me, it's terrifying because we have a LOT of tile in our apartment. I'm dreading the babyroofing that's coming up soon...

Aww... My sis did that too when she had her boy. But they totally cut her wrong and her scar is all crooked. I hope the doctors at least did a good job on you.

*goes crosseyed thinking about it* Ye Gods, beware the bathroom. I swear toddlers are like kittens. That roll of TP you have is an irresistible to tiny hands.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InuYashaSesshomaru In reply to Wynterstoops [2010-02-11 07:23:15 +0000 UTC]

It's a long story, but the short of it: I had a c-section also with my daughter 8 yrs ago, but the doctor was an ass (I didn't have medical care, so he was the guy on duty, basically) and it got infected, so instead of the basic 2 weeks in bed, I wound up with 6 weeks in bed, and wasn't allowed to exercise. So my muscles healed bad, and I wound up with this... pooch. When I was pregnant with Andrew, I hoped that I could get in shape and fix what had happened that first time, but the muscles had been cut too severely and I was told that only plastic surgery would fix it. I don't care if anyone thinks I'm vain for it, but if I get $5,000, I'm getting a tummy tuck. I'm tired of people coming up to me and asking when my "next one is coming".

Heh, I didn't think of that. Well, he won't be able to get into the bedroom, so that's one bathroom down. ^^ We've had a baby gate for a long time to keep the dog out, so that's a lot less baby proofing we have to do!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Wynterstoops In reply to InuYashaSesshomaru [2010-02-16 16:25:05 +0000 UTC]

Baby gates = love. I use them for the bathroom and the kitchen, but only for the kitchen when I'm cooking. My nephew has a thing for following me around in there and making it hard to maneuver.

Wow... I don't blame you, I would too. My sis needs one now. She never did before but when Ditsel was born they did a c-section on her and cut her all crooked, and now her tummy won't go back to flat, even though she's tried to make it go back. She might need plastic surgery herself.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InuYashaSesshomaru In reply to Wynterstoops [2010-02-16 20:27:27 +0000 UTC]

OMG yes, I love the baby gate. We actually own two, but since he's not crawling yet, the other one's not up.

Yeah, that's the problem. When you cut through that much muscle, it's not guaranteed that it'll go back. I hate those skinny bitches that give birth/have c-sections and bounce back to being size 0's and are like, "Well, I had no problem getting back to my old size..." Well, maybe you can afford to have someone watch your baby so you can go to the gym. Ugh. I hate leaving my son just to go to the movies, let alone the gym.

Wynterstoops In reply to InuYashaSesshomaru [2010-02-17 17:12:23 +0000 UTC]

I like kids when they're at the age where you can use them as gym equipment and they just think you're playing. Like holding them up and going from squat to stand repeatedly, or when you can hold them in front of you and bend over, then straighten. You learn to get imaginative. Even rocking them in your arms helps build up muscle. As for the skinny bitches...

My other sis Jen is kind of one of those, only she actually worked her ass off for her figure, without the gym. 3 kids, and she looks like she's had none. She hates the ones that do it effortlessly too. Man, she is twiggy though.

Haha, yeah, we always do the bend over then rush up thing, and he loves it. ^^ And he's such a sturdy guy that holding him for a while makes my arms burn later, lol.

My cousin is like that. Two kids, eats whatever she wants, and she's still a model. Ugh.
Well, yeah, the ones that work for it are great, I just hate when they just bounce back without having to do anything.

InuYashaSesshomaru In reply to Wynterstoops [2010-02-21 04:32:59 +0000 UTC]

Mine does, too. And I'm fat BECAUSE of my mom. She CONSTANTLY criticizes what I wear, but I can't just wear ANYTHING. And what I do wear, she thinks either looks sloppy, "bummy", or whorish.

I could never talk like that to my mom (well, not that harshly). Anyways, she's old and isn't gonna be around forever, so I just take it with a grain of salt. Better to let it roll off my back than to argue.

Diddo, except my clothes aren't the problem. They'd be nice if I could just lose 20or 30 pounds. >.< So I gave up and just wear what makes me feel good, which means I never match. I look like a two year old decided my wardrobe, and it makes me feel great. Lol, I am a fashion disaster.

I've been saying that for years...but she's 61 now, so I never will. I curse around her, but she never cared, and is actually a lot worse than me, but I don't think I could actually be a flat out asshole to her.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InuYashaSesshomaru In reply to Wynterstoops [2010-02-21 07:12:38 +0000 UTC]

Meh, right now, no one has the right to judge your fashion skills. Yeah, I wish i could say the same. Before I got pregnant with Andrew, I only needed to lose about 30 lbs. But I can't get rid of the weight - we live in a big metropolitan area, so it's not like I can go jogging, and I can't really work out, because no one can take care of the baby... Anyhow, I'm biding my time, although at my age, I'm really risking a lot. Between my weight and boobs, my back almost always aches.

Yeah, I curse around my mom, except for Fuck - I won't say that around her. She swears a lot in italian (but she swears that she never does) but hardly ever in english. Although she does say son'a ma bitch a lot. LOL

Wynterstoops In reply to InuYashaSesshomaru [2010-02-21 08:20:09 +0000 UTC]

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? And you're right, jogging isn't safe. And joining a gym is nuts with the prices these days, plus as a full time mom, where would you find the time?

My mom only swears in italian when she's well and truly pissed. She admits it though. Thinks it's funny.

Ah.... your mothers favorite phrase, even if she doesn't realize it.

I just turned 30 on the 15th (last monday).
Exactly. I mean, once he's at the age where I can leave him in a playpen for a while or he can play by himself in his room, maybe I can do some stuff (I have Wii Fit, but can't use it!) but right now it's impossible - at the same time, I'm incredibly depressed over the state of my body.

Haha, not my mom. She's too traditional. And they're ALWAYS pissed. They love drama - they can never talk about happy things. (Sorry, I should explain: when I say 'they' I mean my mom and her sisters-the Fates, since they think they control everyone. My mom and older aunt are both widows, and their younger sister was never married... because she's crazy.)

Looks like we're both on incredibly late... I got sucked in by the incredibly morbid/fun/ridiculous games on adultswim.com. But I think I'm going to bed now...

Wow! Happy belated birthday then! If it's any consolation, you are younger than one of my sisters, and have way less children. The one wanting the traditional "Anthony" if it's a boy? Yeah, this is number four for her. And that's awesome that you have a wii fit. I frickin' love the obstacle course game. Why can't you use yours? And I understand the depression. I never had a big problem with body image before, but like... now I just feel fat and bald all the time. I can't even muster up feeling mildly nice.

Wow... I wonder what they think of the analogy..? I'm entertained by it. It kind of makes me want to draw an extremely cartoonish picture of them as the three fates with you hanging in the balance. Must get better at pad... and start actually drawing again. Been too depressed to draw or write.

O.O I fell asleep hours ago.

Thanks. ^^
I never wanted kids. Isabel is... a long story. And Andrew... well, I guess both of them were forced on me. The difference is I haven't really raised Isabel, although we're trying to get a house so she can live with us. Andrew, though, has been with me from day 1, and I adore him. Oh, I can't use the Fit because it's in the bedroom, and I can't really take care of the baby in there. And there's no room for it elsewhere.
Oh, you're lucky. Actually, I never had a problem with myself - I was quite popular in grade school - until my parents moved me to Florida. Especiall down here near Miami, everyone is so fucking superficial and fake that all of a sudden, I was being made fun of: my hair, clothes, demeanor... all of it was wrong, according to them. I didn't know how to handle it, so I became depressed and thought I was on drugs). Then when I start going through puberty, I have to deal with my mom calling me fat, too. I can't believe I didn't turn into a basketcase.

They wouldn't know. All they know about is catholicism. None of them even made it to middle school. Plus, they would've thought it was hearsay anyways.
But that is a cool idea. ^^ Hah, I know the feeling.

T.T At least you love them. Anyways, it makes me happy knowing you love them, planned or not. That takes a lot of heart.

Ah... Dang. >.< Stupid unfit Wii.

O.O I've heard it was like that there, but it was mainly through people who knew people. Wow, you are lucky you didn't turn into a basketcase.

None of them made it to middle school? Holy cow, how old are they? I mean...I assume they didn't make it because they're so old that middle school wasn't actually mandatory for them "back in the day."

I don't mind if someone doesn't love their child... as long as they give it up. There's no reason a child should live in an environment where the mother soedn't love them. Don't worry about it. Any time you want to dump on me, go right ahead. I've got LOTS of my own baggage...

LOL The UnFit. It's like an unbirthday! A very merry unbirthday, to you!

Yeah, i want to move badly, but the only place Bryan will move right now is Phoenix, and, um.... HOT MUCH???? I don't think so, Tim.

Nope. My mom was 9 I think when she immigrated here, and the others followed suit. They had to work and take care of siblings (there are 8 bros/sis) plus they didn't know english, so none of them went to school, really. I think maybe the baby of the family, my uncle Frank, who was, like, 3 at the time had some schooling. My mom is... 65? Yeah, she'll be 66 in Sept. And no, back then no one actually cared if you went to school. They were all very handy, so they made money in other ways. Plus, Brooklyn used to be full of Italians, so it wasn't hard for them to make a living.

Diddo, but this is a case where the child was kept. I love my nephew, but my sister is satan. She treated him like shit for years just because he wasn't planned. Now he's the golden child because she's now noticing what I've been saying for years. He's a good boy. He does what I do though. If someone calls him mean, he gets mean. If he's called good, he behaves good. We call it people pleasing. Whatever we're accused of, true or not, is what the other person really wants from us, so we go out of our way to grant their wish and do what they want. She hasn't realized that yet. Nonstop customer service for the whole human race. Isn't nice when people do what you want?

XD It looks good, but I don't think I'll be seeing it in the theater. I'm saving all my babysit-nights for the ones I'm dying to see: The Last Airbender, Prince of Persia, Iron Man II, Eclipse, and Harry Potter 7 part1. There's a few more, but I can't remember them offhand.

Yeah, most of them - especially Uncle Frank - did pretty well for themselves. But... funny, except for my mom, the women in the faamily got harder deals than the men. I never thought of it that way before, but I'll be damned if that's not how it is. Hmm. Anywho, the only really unlucky one is their little brother who died when he was about three.
