- Lust for dominance: Anya goes psycho when she experiences an intense physical feeling, be it pain or pleasure, because she despises the feeling of inferiority. Due to her past, she is paranoid when she is in situations where it seems like people are trying to take advantage of her - a weakness inside of her that has been magnified to become an uncontrollable and severe condition.
- Sadism: When she snaps, she develops a kind of sadistic nature where she takes pleasure in seeing others writhing before her in agony. Tearing people down feeds her with self-pride that she otherwise would not have. As long as she isn't the one suffering, pain is considered very satisfying. It gets her pumped up and hungry for more.

However, what may come off as offensive is in actual fact defensive. Her controlling nature is merely a protective shell. Underneath the tough exterior is a hurt and troubled girl...

She has a self-demand to do everything attempted 'perfectly', which leads to frustration when 'perfection' is not achieved. Anya is rarely pleased with herself and even less so with the people around her. She tries to shadow this insecurity by being demanding and controlling. Instead of trying to improve herself, Anya tears people down and steps on their heads to make herself feel better.

On top of that, Anya is not one to easily deem people trustworthy. Her past relationships with men have left deep scars in her heart, causing her to lose trust in men altogether (the reason why she prefers schooling in an all-girls environment). She's had enough of being taken advantage of - this also adds to her need for control because she thinks that if she's the one that controls people, she can't be hurt like that again.

Background (heavily summarised): Anya used to be a softy. She was raised by a loving single mom and never knew her dad. She developed a bias against males due to the countless number of trust issues, abusive relationships etc. she had with them. Eventually, she had to seek professional guidance to help her recover from depression.

Anya was a new person after that. She became the cold and controlling person she is today. She put up walls to block out anything to do with affection because she didn't want to be hurt in the same way again. She requested to transfer to Belaya Rosa so she had less males to interact with and so that she could become a stronger individual. Her gun was a parting gift from her mother.
