This pose and composition is just like DC's Superman holding the American flag done by Adam Hughes in 2006. I loved this sketch until I came across this disturbing fact. I still like it, but not in the same way.

WOW this is great. I think the pencil shading really helps with the darker feel of it aswell. Have you made a colour version of this as I would be pleased to see how that turns out?

Although the perspective is a tad off -- judging by his notably small calves and feet, it looks like you're shooting to make it seem as though it is looking slightly down on Kain but from the waist up, we appear to be observing him straight on -- and his face hints at too much Akira Toriyama influence, it's still a very nice sketch.
For all my complaints about the perspective, the anatomy is statuesque and aesthetically pleasing. It's an appropriate pose for a young Kain about to take on Nosgoth.
Most of all, though, your shading is MARVELOUS.
Keep up the good work. MOAR KAIN.

The funny thing is that I put more time in making the position/body than in the shading process, funny the letter turned out a bit better. I will certainly be doing more LoK since I started playing SR2 again so Im in the zone right now.

Seems kinda Legolas-ish to me, I'm used to think of Kain more as of a brute than a noble hero

I guess I tried to make him look like he is surveying something, possibly right before the attack on the sarafan keep. Yes he did came out more 'soft' that Kains regular look.

Thank you, the shading was a really quick one since I didnt plan to shade it, so I did a really soft one so I dont smudge the lines i put before, i guess it turned out pretty decent

I wish I could of done more detail, like a background but the paper is too small and its really frustrating. Hopefully Ill be able to buy a small graphical tablet by the end of the summer so I can do a proper color job too, but until then I guess i'm pretty much stuck to A4. :/

Adding a bg would be great, but at least you didn't leave the paper empty! lol, I never was a big fan of making bgs anyways,,, they're just too hard! xD;
Hmm, I knew your pains, mate! I used to be stuck with the A4 papers, till I got my tablet! >w< I just got it recently however, so the previously coloured pics were done with the mouse in PS!! It took long, but was still good to see your work coloured... even though I was used to pencil's b/w drawings! xD but... due to my latest conditions, all I was able to do were just linearts! x_x I'm not satisfied, yet also uninspired to do any colouring! =/
Anyhow, sorry for the rant again xD;
