actually, i thought of jayne because (he was originally going to be a chick,) and i thought of Jane Doe. like a deer. and it made me giggle. but then he was a guy, and i just loved the name so much, i kept it. so that's the story behind his name

actually no.
the name didn't come from firefly, when i made jayne, i totally forgot there was a guy on that show named jane.
no, i came up with his name, simply because when i created the deer character, i thought of jane doe. for funsies. i really liked the idea of naming him jayne, so it stuck.
