So here's the thing: the overwhelming majority of Mara Jade artwork depicts her as a twenty-thirty something year old, even though the novels and comics range from fourteen to her fifties. So I wanna do some drawings of her at ages not normally seen. This would be young Mara as a five year old in the early stages of her training under the Emperor.Thoughts? Any ideas for other ages/events not usually seen? I was thinking about drawing her as a proper fourteen year old being named The Emperor's Hand....

Reminds me of my old d20 Star Wars game, where the party encountered a young Mara Jade on an Imperial Inquisition ship along with several other Force-Sensitive people who were in various stages of being corrupted into Dark Jedi. If memory serves, Mara was 9 at the time.

Yeah, we had fun... most of the time. Not sure putting 6 of the Rebellion's 8 Force users in one team was the smartest decision ever, but it was certainly entertaining

I've found that green-eyed people rarely have Crayola-Green kind of saturation. I picture Mara's particular green as being very pale and a bit more on the blue than yellow side. But, to each their own.

Yes, it's true that in real life nobody has the kind of green eyes that Mara has, unless they wear colored contact lenses. In fact, true green eyes are more of a hazel-green that commonly seen with red-haired people.

It's very difficult to draw children due to less defined features and more baby fat on their faces and body. But you did a pretty good job here. It's never been stated in any of the novels when she was born or how old she is. Only in the book, "Jedi vs. Sith: Essential Guide to the Force," does it state that she was born 17 BBY and found and taken by the Emperor soon after. That makes her three years younger than Luke, which was surprising because the way that she acts and thinks she sounds like she should be older.

I guess that comes with not really having a childhood. I don't remember where but she said at some point that the Emperor took her around the age of three.
And thank you for your compliments. Something about her face still feels somewhat "off" to me, but she looks better than my other shoddy attempts at drawing kids. Their faces are weird.
