Description I'd move on to more exotic costumes and poses, but the Pandora Female texture from sharecg.com is fairly limited. The skin dots don't really line up very well and the color is slightly off between the limbs and torso. So until I learn how to create textures, I'll have to stick with what I've got.

I also wasn't happy with the way the textures mapped on the Pandora tail, so I used the A4 V4 Catgirl tail which worked out better. There is no tuft at the end, so let's just say the fashionable Na'vi females shave their tales.

This is more of a lighting test than anything. I started messing around with indirect lighting this weekend, and it takes forever, but the results are nice. I want to say this render took about 6 hours and it's half the size of my usual postings. I did one at the normal size of 1600 x 2000 pixels, but realized I had the light intensity too high. That mistake took about 13 hours to realize.

Thanks!

That's right, she lives in your apartment!!

Thanks for supplying us poser addicts with great environments and props!! I need to do a better job of listing credits

I'm still wrestling around with the best way to do IDL so I can get good results while not tying up my computer for 12 hours. Any suggestions?

pheeee lighting is a sience of itself... i usually spend also days to find the best for some of my stuff.
however, i have a few standard lightnings that fit usually most scecnes. i guess i am going to issue them as a freebie or as a prime shortly.

The thing with Poser is that you kind of just have to know it. The available books don't really tell you much, so you just need to hit the forums and try to learn one thing at a time. With Poser, you don't know what you don't know until you know you don't know it!

I didn't know much about IDL, so my previous environmental renders always looked flat. Once I started playing with IDL, things really popped. Now I've got to learn about lighting, warmth, and all that stuff.
