And I suppose prepping watercolour paper right? Which kind of watercolour paper do you use?

This was painted on a sheet of arches rough paper in their standard thickness. I use a block so there isn't any preparation involved, just tape the edges and go to it. Occasionally I will use a heavy weight paper but I also don't prep it because its too heavy to cause me any troubles with buckling.Β

Yeah, I generally don't prep my paper either... For better or worse

140lb is the thickness of my arches block. Sometimes I will use 200lb

This is beautiful! I feel like I'm standing right there in the field, from the detail in the stalks of grain. Truly stunningΒ
