I'm so curious about Nero~~ my friend come with interesting theory that Nero is Vergil who lost his memory after been defeated by Dante in DMC1... and I keep doodling Nero last night.. and wondering about his connection wif Dante..>.<sorry~ da coloring sucks.. I need to finish my assignments..

That actually is Nero's origin. According to the game designer, Nero was born before the events of the first three games, thus explaining his affinity with the Yamato, as Nero is its heir. This isn't known by Nero as, like Kyrie and Credo, he's an orphan, and thus literally doesn't know his own past. Nothing in the game states it direct, but Nero was designed to be Vergil's son, alluding to it via multiple similarities between Nero, Vergil, and their abilities, including their Devil Bringer.Β

Yeah like example most of Nero's attack quotes resembles Vergil alot like example Nero using Showdown while Vergil activating his D.T as the last boss. Both said "Your going down!" or they say "Die!" when Nero uses Streak ( I think it was that attack.) and Vergil using rapid slash. Plus the fact that there's no way that Dante could be Nero's dad. Also the blue spectral resembles a combination of Vergil's original and corrupted D.T form

That is a very good theory.....I know a lot of people already said this...but I always thought that Nero was possibly Vergil's son....but it's just a theory of mine and others...but then again, Nero could be another son of Sparda.....Although your friend's theory does bring a few things toΒ mind: in Devil May Cry 3 Vergil talked about wanting/needing more power, and when Nero used his Devil Trigger for the first time he talked about how he "heard a voice in his head saying 'Power....give me more....power'...." I mean, that'sΒ the scene I used to supportΒ the "my theory" (the theory of many other people) and it could alsoΒ help support your friend's theory......but in the end, no one isΒ given a really solid answer. I don'tΒ think CAPCOM even gave the fans anΒ actual answer to the big question about Nero........That guy is a real mystery.....Β Β Β

I've heard that they confirmed it. you have to admit it is possible because they don't tell you anything about Vergil between when his mom died until the first DMC book, then you've got the manga thats like three years later and then DMC 3.

I heard from one article is that, they wanted to but knocked down the idea. I doubt that the manga counts. Its whats capcom wanted to decide.
Devil May Cry 4-wise, one of the localization employees I was talking to confirmed to me that Nero IS Vergil's son, and that this aspect was going to be implemented in to the game's plot. However, the decision was made not to, which could set up a good story for the future. I argued that it was cheesy, so we'll see what happens.

I have played the DMC4 and nero is not vergil who lost his memory but he seems to have some conexion because in the game when nero takes yamato he said that he always hear a voice in his head saying``power,give me more power´´ and you also have the fact that noone knows how he get his devil arm

I think Nero's devil arm is just a fragment of Vergil's memory since he got it after one battle that he had before DMC4 starts... (because Kyrie keep asking about his hand whether its healed or not)

Another theory of course was that Nero was actually the reincarnation or something like that of Vergil. That is why he can weild Vergil's sword. Though personally I LUV Vergil more than Nero. This is a very cute comic so far. do you plan to do more with it? If so then I look forward to seeing where you take this.
