Story:
Yushi was born as the firstborn of a warlord. His clan was always out for the thrill of another's downfall. Yushi's clan, or more notably his family, were known as the executioners as they would mercilessly cut down anyone in their path. Of course the opposing clan of a Xerneas lord disagreed with their ways, and proclaimed war with them so that other nearby clans are saved from the ruthlessness of Yushi's clan. In return, Yushi's clan very much accepted the war declaration. Ever since, it has been generations of clan wars and Yushi's clan would always fail to completely defeat the opposing clan, which in turn riled them up more further for war.

Yushi however, was quite the black sheep amongst his own blood. He disliked the war, and would rather become a scholar than a warlord that would inherit after his father. He liked reading and writing instead. But of course, his father had other plans and raised Yushi to take over after him. Yushi had no choice but to abide by his father's orders. But that never stopped Yushi from doing what he loves on his spare time and before bed. Such things were kept secret from his family. Never once did Yushi agreed to how his clan did things ever since he could think rationally. Around the age of 18, Yushi started to to work more closely with his father. At times, his father gave him permission to give the commands. His father was set on handing the clan's leadership to Yushi once he was 20, and was highly anticipating for the day to come.

One day, when Yushi's father was out busy with some kind of business, Yushi decided to sneak away and pay the opposing clan a peaceful visit. He stated the reason for his visit; to meet with the lord and discuss a future plan of peace. After numerous long talks explanations, the Xerneas lord acknowledged Yushi's plan. The Xerneas was looking forward to the peaceful future and found a liking towards Yushi. He even jokingly stated of giving off his daughter for Yushi to marry. Satisfied with the outcome, he now decided to plan how he were to explain the same thing to his clan. After the meeting, Yushi was halfway escorted back, and as he parted ways with the guards but within earshot, Yushi was ambushed by people of his own clan who called him a traitor and bounded him. The guards who escorted Yushi, heard the commotion and returned to report to the Xerneas lord.

Yushi's clan was not call the executioner for nothing. Usually, for situations as these, the person deemed guilty will be brought to the public eye to be executed. However, Yushi being the lord's son, was given a different kind of treatment. In front of the crowd, he was publicly tortured. And at the end of it all, had his wings stripped away from him. His cries, pleas, and screams were all ignored. Even his own father looked at him with eyes of disgust and disappointment. All this just from being seen and caught walking from the opposing clan's path. Yushi was about to continue being tortured when an ambush happened by the Xerneas' clan. This made the suspicion of Yushi being a traitor higher. Amidst the ambush, Yushi was freed and helped to get away, but as he was fleeing with some help, he could hear his father's voice saying that he was banished from the clan and disowned.

It took Yushi a little over a year for both his physical and mental wounds to completely heal. But even so, he could still vividly remember the pains he felt from the scars of his wing. During the period, he was under the care of the Xerneas' clan, and was often visited by the Xerneas' daughter and halfway through, they were together for a while. When Yushi finally got back to his feet, he decided to travel. And leave the place far behind. The Xerneas accepted his wish even though he'd rather have Yushi around. Yushi even broke off his short but sweet relationship with the Xerneas' daughter saying that she deserved better. It sadden Yushi to leave that clan. The Xerneas even felt like a real father to him rather than his own father. Or rather, the Xerneas was like a father that he always wanted. But he needed to get away. As long as he stayed in the clan, he'd always remember with every corner he turns. Before leaving, Yushi promises to write them letters every now and then.

Now 20, Yushi was free. Free to do what he wanted. Free to now learn more and read more. Pretty much to do anything he wanted that he wasn't able to back home. In a year, he found a small place to stay at. Doing simple jobs to get steady income. And as a side hobby, he writes. He started out with poems and haikus. When his poems and haikus were noticed by his peers, he tried out writing stories. Slowly but surely, his stories started to become well known. By age 26, one of his stories became a kabuki play in the local theatre. However, something felt empty in him. He felt like something was missing in his latest works. He couldn't find a muse for his writings. One of his peers suggested travelling for a change of scenery, so he decided to just do that and take a little break from writing altogether. Almost months of travelling, Yushi then ended up at a village called Pokodani. Something about the village just draws him in. It was a lovely, peaceful, and lively looking village. Yushi decided to stay. It was a good place after all. It was very far away from his original home and no one really knew who he was. It was a good place to start anew. After settling in, he started to write again and is satisfied. He had gotten his muse in writing back. Slowly but surely, he fell in love with the village itself.
