Sketch out of The Dragon Chronicles. Tidied it up a bit, (added frame, erased smudges surrounding the dragon)...(The first one has been moved to scraps.)
Graphite pencil on paper - many details are comprised of painstaking stippling!

Dragons have 4 legs, Wyvern's front would-be arms are their wings

Technically true, although wyverns are still regarded as a type of dragon..
This particular one I believe had no name in the book, and so for lack of a better name, I just stuck with the simple and basic

Are you going to do more work on the back wing and the tail? It seems a shame to do so much detail on the front of the body and the other wing and leave it unfinished.

Good question...
I kind of like the "sketchiness" of the unfinished tail etc, and the reason I never finished it was because I'd rubbed out and retried the outlines so many times, I was getting too annoyed to fiddle with it anymore!
But I'll probably get inspired to finish it one day, and I'll resubmit it..!
