Meet Raiga and Ryuji’s parents!

Zinan’s reign in the Ja-Nin-Clan wasn’t exactly filled with joy as he wasn’t meant to be chief in the first place. Zinan, meaning second born son, did not agree with the traditional rules of a first-born son becoming the next chief. So, he took it upon himself to get rid of his older brother Isao who was a lot different than Zinan. Of course, Zinan’s father thought it was an accident when his first-born son died on a faithful day. He foolishly believed Zinan’s story as he had never expected their sons would’ve hated each other so much. And the rest… well is history. After his father’s death, Zinan claimed the position as chief of the Ja-Nin-Clan and ruled his people from then on with strength, violence and fear; going down in history as one of the most ruthless chiefs.

His heart had been softened though when he met his future wife, Kaori. She was something else, to say the least. Kaori was kind-hearted but also strong and confident. Something Zinan wasn’t used to as he had no respect for the weaker gender whatsoever. But Kaori made him respect her fairly quickly and the two fell head over heels in love, soon bearing their first son and future chief Raiga, followed by their second son three years later, Ryuji. Kaori loved both her sons dearly. But Zinan was unable to show any affection to either of them. His focus was only on training his firstborn to become a good leader and chief. He barely even spent time with little Ryuji, which filled the little boys heart with jealousy, anger and hatred; eventually leading to the fierce rivalry between him and his older brother.

What do you think about these two? I had quite some fun designing Raiga and Ryuji’s parents, as well as writing a little backstory for them 😊 ♥
