So today is father's day in the united states (missed the one in switzerland lol) and just like last year, I wanted to share a different kind of pride:Raiga and his two sons Ryo (left) and Renga (right). When Renga was born, Raiga smiled the entire day. He had always wished to be a father (just like Renga later on) and when he heard that his first born would be a boy, he was even more excited, but also relieved. Because the old clan-traditions had the rule that only males could become chiefs. So if Renga had not been a boy, his younger brother would've become the new chief after Raiga. But that didn't happen and Raiga was overjoyed that his beautiful wife gifted him a healthy son (not that he would've been any less happy if Renga turned out to be a healthy girl ;>).
So naturally, when Ena became pregnant a second time, Raiga was just excited. And his second born son even looked a lot more like him!
But it seems that life didn't want this happy family to sustain any longer... and Raiga had to lose both his beautiful wife and happy son on the same day...
We cherish all the amazing dads out there today as, of course, we all wouldn't be here today without them! ♥
