Description Second sketch for woodblock cut. I submitted the woodblock ages ago, but never thought to include the sketch that I did as a blueprint. Even before this, it was part of a song lyric that included "skipping thoughts across your ocean", which is why I gave up. Love makes fools of us all, I'm afraid, and I wrote her name indelibly into the sky for all to miss. There was an added bonus of a story I read about an artist that used to sign everything. I thought I should one up him and actually change the landscape. I chose my own pathetic vista, and moved clouds around with my hand as I wrote her name over and over.....what a fool! But she did notice! She thought it crap. And so did I. But, by her own logic (applied to my music) it does not belong to her or I. It is yours. I hope it is less crap to you than us, but that is not up to me. Or her, for that matter.

You see, I don't fave photos/paintings/drawings with a DA mark on them.

I won't watermark anything again!
No, that's a lie.
But I get it. It is so intrusive. More than is sensible. I wish they would only watermark when it confronts an artist's rights. The preview is maybe a little too careful. I appreciate mothers, but I already have one.

You don't have to change your practice about DA watermark. Do what you see fit, as it is your rule. I just thought to let you know "my" rules.

DA watermark is there to prevent thieves, I know. But adding it is like adding dyes or burn your food so people know you made it, but in doing so, you sabotage your dish (food) as well.

Exactly what I mean. It's like poisoning your own water supply to fend off intruders. Same was true in Antioch a thousand years ago. Thank you. I do go on......

We should be able to draw in the clouds what we want again and again... It would be a wonderful dream.
Whatever the technique, which is impressive, the drawing is absolutely gorgeous.

Ever heard of "cloud-busting"? Fantastic way to spend an afternoon. Once I was driving with a good friend and I looked up and said "Holy crap! That cloud looks exactly like a Klingon bird of prey!" He totally agreed. I am so glad that I had a witness. But I digress. I tend to write with invisible ink, or scratch love letters in the ground with my feet.
Thank you, dear, for the very lovely comment and compliment.

I have a certain ease to lose myself in dreams and happens to me with two things in particular: to look at a starry sky and shaping the clouds. As a child I used to play often shape the clouds with my sister, but she saw teddy bears and me, dragons and knights...
I'm delighted to know that both we are dreamers.
"Scratch love letters in the ground with my feet"... I must say that I loved this sentence.

Oh, there is poetry on that very subject!!!!
I have another favorite annecdote on that I would love to share, but maybe later.
Oh boy, but I have a song for you, though!!!
of course, in this particular case, it does have much to do with "cloud busting".
Being a dreamer is not only allowed, in my opinion, it is the most human way to live in reality. It may be the responsibility of any artist to communicate these things. Cloud busting is one of my favorite ways to express this concept.
Love you,
devout dreamer!!!
