Short Bio: Avery Monroe is a racent addition to sector V. Her parents are an duo of bad guys who oppose the Kids Next Door, and avery tries her best to hide the identity of her parents. She's very secretive and a good liar, but also loyal to what she cares about strongly. Avery is an oddball, however she tries desperately to hide this, as she was often picked on for it as a child. Now she will do just about anything to make and keep friends, doing whatever she thinks they would want  her to do. This desperation is one of her worst traits. She is also... responcible, and mature, as her parents raised her to be. She's stiff and polite, all things the KND, and particularly her friends in her sector, are trying to beat out of her. Good Traits: Determined, intelligent, quick, reliable, loyal

Personality: Avery is very sweet, kind, and is rather likeable. She is rather quiet, but also tends to be perceptive. It is very rare for her to be loud or demanding, though it does happen when things get very serious, and is always a shock. Avery is often described as nerdy, loving video games and comic books a little too much, sometimes, and enjoying many stereotypically ‘nerdy’ pursuits. It’s hard to get to know anything about her, or even notice her sometimes, because she is cripplingly shy, and has a very hard time talking to people or making friends. Her awkwardness doesn’t really help this any either. Unable to properly socialize, Avery has very few friends, and tends to get lonely easily. Because of this ‘s desperate to fit in, and tends to be willing to do whatever is necessary to gain the approval of others. She’s a bit of an oddball, in a fun way, but is too afraid to show this part of her, so she tries to suppress it as much as possible. There are few things that Avery will loyally and adamantly stick to, but in general she’s a complete pushover. Making this trait worse, Avery gets intimidated very easily by the anger of others, and can be frightened into submission. Continuing with the inconveniences of her personality, Avery is nervous and hesitant, and tends to be afraid to make mistakes. Still, when it comes right down to it, Avery has good instincts, and is capable of thinking very quickly, and devising plans in a pinch when she absolutely has to; she just tends to underestimate this ability excessively during normal situations. Though she doesn’t realise it, she can be quick-witted, too. Avery is very intelligent and coordinated, and also good at many things when she sets her mind to them. When she’s given a job she is very good at sticking to it, though. She tends to hyper-focus when there’s something that she has to do, and can sometimes go through her given missions with the grace of a bull in a china shop, but she always gets it done. She is strong in her core beliefs, and the stances of the KND as an organization are some of the things she holds as most important. All in all, despite all the issues and inconveniences that her personality includes, she’s a good and helpful addition to the KND, willing to do nearly anything to insure the safety and freedom of all kid-kind from adults, teens, or any threats that they face. However, there are two large personality problems that the KND are trying desperately to beat out of her, that job given mostly to sector V. Because of how she was raised, Avery tends to be very polite and stiff, even, and sometimes especially, in the company of adults. Another problem that has so far gone unnoticed is that she’s very secretive. This has it’s perks, but also major drawbacks. She tends not to talk about things, even important things with others, even her teammates or closest friends. She’s a good liar as well, so she’s good at keeping things hidden.

Past: Avery comes from a middle-class home, raised by her two parents along with her older sister. Because Avery has always been very shy and awkward, she never really had any friends when she was younger, and was actually made fun of by the other kids quite a bit; she still is, actually. Because of this Avery spend a lot of time with her older sister a she grew up, and the two have become rather close. Avery’s parents aim for the sweet little ‘white picket fence’ kind of family. Striving for near perfection, they try also to raise the perfect kids. To do this, they try to allow freedom of expression, but force their kids into extracurricular, and also try and raise them to be, and form them into polite, sweet, and mature children. Because of Avery’s parents views are so idealistic, they have become enemies of the Kids Next Door, thinking of them as rowdy, and imperfect. Everything about the Kids Next Door, and their parents rivalry with them was completely unknown to Avery for years. One day though, she was found poking about the rubble after a battle between her parents and the Kids Next Door by a KND operative. Suspected to be working for the Monroe’s, she was taken back to their base to be interrogated. After a few days she was found not only to be innocent of the crimes she was accused of, but to have the heart of a true Kids Next Door operative. She was monitored for a while longer, to be sure that she could be trusted, and then was trained. Upon finally becoming an operative of the KND, she was placed in sector V. Of course, her parents aren’t aware that this is where she’s going, and think she’s joined a sports club of some sort. However, the KND also don’t know that the dastardly Monroe’s are her parents. Avery does her best to keep her home and work life separate, however the balance is dangerously precarious, and ever teetering…

Relationships:

Immediate Family:

Father:

Gerald Monroe – 42: A seemingly kind, but very perfectionistic man, Gerald tends to be strict and is a bit of a neat-freak. He ‘encourages’ his children to be athletic and sporty, and tends to be a bit of a hot-head. He’s an office worker, and works in the same office as Numbah 4’s father. He is an enemy of the KND, known for trying to pushing and ‘ground’ them, putting them in cages and the like. He is known simply as Mr. Monroe, half of the couple making up the team of the ‘Dastardly Monroe’s’

Theresa Monroe – 42: Very energetic and sickly sweet, she ‘encourages’ her children to pursue the arts. She is an art teacher herself. She is even stricter than her husband, but isn’t as hot-tempered. She is at home more often than her husband, so her children are around her more often. She is the other half of the duo making up the ‘Dastardly Monroe’s’, known as Mz. Monroe.

Heather Monroe – 17: Avery’s elder sister. Even Heather, whom Avery is very close to, doesn’t know about her involvement in the Kids Next Door organization. The two spend a lot of time together when they’re both at home. Heather is generally neutral in conflics between her parents and the Kids Next Door, however she has been seen fighting alongside her parents once or twice in later episodes, most probably for the sake of peace at home.

Friends:

Best Friend Overall:

Numbuh 3/Kuki Sanban: Brought very close by common interests, Avery and Numbuh 3 are very close, and spend quite a bit of time together. Kuki was Avery’s first friend in the KND, not only being the first to reach out to her, being the friendliest member of sector V, but also being the one given the job of showing Avery around when she first arrived, and making sure she felt at home. The two actually shared a room until Avery’s room had been constructed.

Other Closest/Best Friends:

Numbuh 5/Abigail Lincoln: The two get along well now, though they got off to a bit of a rough start. Abigail, being more perceptive than her teammates, caught onto Avery’s suspicious ways and didn’t trust her. After a while, Avery managed to convince Numbuh 5 that everything was fine, and she hadn’t anything more to hide than anything else. They became close after that, however their friendship hit a rock a little under half-way through the series when numbuh 5 finds out about the identities Avery’s parents. Initially Numbuh 5 thinks that Avery is a traitor, and a double agent. Eventually Avery manages to explain the truth to Numbuh 5, and Numbuh 5 forgives Avery for lying, finding that she can relate to her situation to an extent, at least. Numbuh 5 is the only KND member that knows who Avery’s parents are.

Numbuh 1/Nigel Uno: Despite him being the leader of sector V, Avery and Numbuh 1 spend a lot of time together. Much of this, at least initially, was because he felt that, as her leader, it was his duty to help her become a proper KND operative, and get rid of her stiff, polite, and hesitant ways. He also likes having another more serious operative on his team. She listens well to him, and the two get along very well overall. They often hang out together outside of KND missions when Numbuh 1 isn’t with the other boys. Though Numbuh 1 remains completely oblivious to it, Avery has had a slight crush on him since first being placed in sector V.

Numbuh 2/Hoagie Gilligan: Though the two aren’t shown to be together quite as much as Avery is with the others, they get along well. Avery is just as nerdy as Numbuh 2 is, and they have managed to bond over many nerdy persuits. Avery also actually tends to enjoy many of Numbuh 2’s puns, though it is undisclosed if it’s because she has a strange sense of humor, or just enjoys how bad they can sometimes be.

Numbuh 4/Wallabee Beetles: At first Numbuh 4 really didn’t like Avery. He wasn’t thrilled about having another girl on the team, and was even less thrilled when he actually met Avery. He thought of her as weak and annoying, and wasn’t afraid to tell her so. After he’d seen her in action a few times though, he began to respect her, even if just a little bit. His team members forced him to apologize to Avery, since he kind of wanted to anyway but wasn’t willing to do so of his own accord, and the two get along ok now. Numbuh 4 still sometimes calling Avery wimpy, or telling her that she should be wilder, however they both know that he doesn’t really dislike her. He’d never admit it, though, and tends to keep his distance, but they have been seen hanging out with mutual friends together.

Close/Good Friends:

Friends:

Numbuh 274/Chad Dickson: At least in the beginning, while still benevolent, Avery and Numbuh 274 got along pretty well, due to Avery’s admiration of Numbuh 274. They really didn’t see each other often, though.

Numbuh 86/Fanny Fulbright: The two aren’t seen together often, but get along well enough whenever they are. Of course, sometimes Avery finds Numbuh 86 a bit intimidating, especially when yelling at others, though generally Avery simply avoids anything that would irritate Numbuh 86. Numbuh 86 has been shown to quite like Avery, for whatever reason. Perhaps it is because they can somewhat relate to each other’s home lives without even realising it.

Acquaintances:

Disliked:

Dislikes (One sided): -

Disliked By (One Sided): -

Doesn’t Get Along With:

Lizzy DeVine: From the very beginning, Avery is shown to have a bit of a crush on Numbuh 1. This obviously causes tension between her and Lizzy, and Lizzy notices it. Because of this Lizzy really doesn’t like Avery, and because of the actions this causes Avery doesn’t like being around Lizzy either. They generally just stay as far away from each other as possible.

Enemies:

The Delightful Children From Down The Lane: Obviously, Avery doesn’t get along well with them. Despite how many enemies the Kids Next Door have, The Delightful Children seem to creep her out the most. She initially viewed them as unfathomable traitors, but after learning how they ended up the way they are now she develops a little bit of sympathy for them. Still, it makes her find them creepier, and apparently doesn’t change her attitude about fighting them any.

Father: Another obvious enemy. Avery is rather passionate about fighting Father, seeing him as horrible and corrupt. She has said, and shown, that she is willing to do absolutely anything to stop him from getting his way.

Any other enemies of the KND: Avery is strong in her views about kids freedom, and will fight anyone who tries to take that away, or opresses the cause she holds so dear. The only exception to this is her own parents who, though she doesn’t agree with, can’t bring herself to fight them.

Rivals: -

Romantic relationships:

Love interest of (One Sided): -

Love Interest(s):

Numbuh 1/Nigel Uno: As previously mentioned, Avery has a bit of a crush on Numbuh 1 from the very beginning. Throughout the series this is hinted at, though Numbuh 1 never seems to notice, and it remains unrequited.

Appearance:

Body:

Height: 5’2

Weight: 100lbs.

Body Type: undefined, really. She’s too young to really have a distinct figure or body shape. She seems to have longer legs, and a shorter torso, though.

Bone Structure/Size: Medium-slightly on the small side

Clothing Style: Casual and colourful. Avery’s iconc clothes consist of slightly oversized, bright maroon jean shorts, and a oversized yellow t-shirt with a minimalistic pink pig design on it. Avery wears mismatched knee-socks, both with horizontal stripes; one is striped with purple and orange, and the other blue and green. It is noteworthy that Avery never wears shoes. She also always has her nails painted, ever nail a different colour.

Face:

Face Shape: Circle

Features: Being so young, her features are still fairly round and kiddish. She has a cute, button nose, and thin lips. Her upper lip is rather flat.

Skin Tone: Fair; no matter how much time she spends outside, Avery just burns and peals. She seems incapable of tanning.

Complexion: Avery has nice skin. Her cheeks are dotted with small, but plentiful freckles.

Makeup: None.

Hair:

Hair Type: Thin; slightly wavy

Natural Hair Colour: Light brown

Current Hair Colour: Light brown

Hair Length: Long; Avery refuses to cut her hair, so it goes to bellybutton length in the back. It’s shorter in the front, but still longer than it should be.

Hair Style: Avery’s hair is kept back in a very messy low braid that often seems to be one movement away from completely coming out, many loose strands hanging free. She has bangs in the front, but they’re far longer than they should be, and cover her eyes. She’s constantly seen moving them out of the way so she can see.

Eyes:

Eye Colour: Green

Eye Brightness: Average; they so stand out a little, but you can’t see them because of her hair.

Eye Shape: Round; seep-set

Eye Size: Average- slightly small

Eyelash Length: Average

Piercings/Tattoo’s/Scars:

Avery has various scars all over, but no really noticeable or large ones.
