Description So... this is my Legend of Zelda series OC, Tara. She was originally from the Wind Waker, and other 'toon' games. I wanted to draw her as a kid first and put that up to introduce you to her original design first, but I got lazy and decided against it. I'll doodle her up later.

Also, I can't draw legs, feet, or shoes. They're stupid.

It seems strange to see her character older like this; she's around nineteen in this particular game. I would put in a basic bio, but I'm still working out all the details of her character and roll in this game, and I'm also lazy; I'll put one up later, whenever I get around to typing it up. (Fun Fact: I had a whole bunch on her typed out already, but got too lazy to finish it and just deleted it all. )

However, I will tell you that her name is Tara, as you've probably figured out. She's a Hylian resident of Ordon Village, where she was born and raised. She's also Link's childhood best friend.

*EDIT:

I finished her profile. I'm still unsure about her canon relationship with Linkas far as romance goes, but I usually use this OC for roleplay, so... eh.

Short/Basic Bio:
Tara is a cheerful and tomboyish girl who was born and raised in Ordon Village. She's fiery and painfully stubborn with a wild and independent streak. Honestly she is a sweet girl with the best of intentions, though she doesn't always act out these intentions in the right way. She is more mature than her happy and adventurous nature lets on, but she doesn't mind that too much. Link and her are best friends, having grown up together. The two still spend most of their time together, and understand each other quite well. Tara is pleasent so she gets along with most people in the village. Still, as she goes about her adventure she meets people who find her to be a bit overbearing, like Shad for example. Her function in the game is like anin-game hint system. She will also tell Link about where he is and some of the people and things he can find there. In the story she is kidnapped and brought to Kakariko with the younger kids. She later does some traveling with Link, and goes to some dungeons with him, and communicates via gossip stone like device when she isn't with him. She joins the resistance later on.

Personality and Past:
Personality: Tara is a rough-and-tumble playful and tomboyish girl with a fun-loving never stop attitude. She’s a bit of a hot-head, but she’s very kind and actually quite friendly overall. She’s extroverted, and can’t stand stillness, or not doing anything. Tara is the definition of ‘busybody’ and is always outside doing something, whether it be sports, exploring, or working. She’s very adventurous and can be a bit of a thrill-seeker. She’ll try almost anything once. She does anything her creative brain can think of to keep herself entertained 24/7. Tara’s sunny and personable, so she does get along well with most people. Still, she can be a little wild, and can sometimes overwhelm quiet people, though she’s working on this. She also has a tendency to want to make friends with everything, and can be too pushy with anti-social or introverted people. Clumsy and sometimes brash, Tara almost always has new cuts or bruises, though she hardly seems to notice them anymore. She tends to be reckless too, impulsive tendencies often getting her into trouble. Because of this and some of her other mannerisms some who don’t know her very well think her to be childish and immature. This is true to an extent, as she can be both but at the same time the assumption does not always apply to her. Some have described her as having ‘youthful energy and vigor’ and despite her immaturities Tara is wise beyond her years; she just doesn’t always show it. Her mischievousness and occasional pranks add to her immature appearance. She’s good at reading the atmosphere. Despite her knowing and understanding boundaries well, it’s not unheard of for her to cross them. She doesn’t do it all the time, but sometimes her curiosity and stubbornness get a hold of her and she just charges through anyway. She’s also very book smart, with an astounding memory. There is no one more stubborn than this girl, which isn’t always a good thing. It’s part of what makes her so head-strong and brash. She’s also independent to the point of rebellion. She isn’t spoiled in the sense of doing what she wants when she wants, she just gets angry when she feels someone is being overly bossy, abusing their authority, or trying to guide everything she does. This is something many sense in her, and they tend to leave her to her own devices anyway. Even though she’s childlike she’s still surprisingly responsible, and is completely reliable. She’s feisty, and though she tries not to she can hold a grudge like nobody’s business. Still she’s feels she’s a happy girl overall. This is true, however she tends to bottle everything up and not deal with any of her problems, and gets defensive and snappy when confronted about it. On a separate note, though not family oriented per-say Tara loves kids, and is sometimes a bit motherly. She also loves animals of all kinds, and seems to get along well with them.
Personal Past: Tara was born and raised in Ordon Village. She never really left, though she did manage to sneak into Faron woods once in her younger teenage years. She was quickly found and brought back to the village, however. She grew up with the other kids in the village, and gets along well with most of them very well especially Link and Ilia, as she spent her childhood with them. She almost seemed to cling to their friendship, being an only child with no siblings to spend time with. She grew up with a single mother in a smallish house on the riverbank up near Rusl, Uli, and Colin’s house. The two own a small pumpkin patch, so it is assumed they are farmers. Tara and her mother have never really seen eye-to-eye though. Their relationship is awkward at it’s very best, and it is not uncommon for the two to argue. This is hinted at a few times though the courses of the game by both some events that are seen between the two in the beginning and some of their dialogue. Still they do care for each other, and do get along sometimes. It has always been this way, which may be one of the reasons Tara doesn’t spend any time at home. Tara spent a lot of time with Uli and Rusl when she was little, probably because they lived so close. She views them as second parents, almost. She helps them out a lot as well. It is never really mentioned clearly in-game, but Tara’s father left when she was very little; around three or four years old. She’s still bitter about this. She always said she hated him, but in all honesty she doesn’t completely. She’s just hurt. This is shows by her sadness later in the game when she goes with Link to Castle Town and discovered that he has died.
Ancient Past: Tara comes from a long line of Hylian’s who were picked to help the chosen hero on his quest. Sometimes they are called ‘advisors’ to her hero, but the role really isn’t as big or important as that implies. They just give advice and sometimes help the hero on their quests and such. They do so in different ways.
Relationships:
Immediate Family:
Father: Lakren, Tara’s would-be 43 year old father. He left when she was young. His feelings or thoughts towards his daughter –or if he even had any- remains a mystery. Tara however feels a lot of bitterness, pain, and resentment towards him. There’s also a bit of curiosity in her as well.
Mother: Sashara is Tara’s 40 year old mother. She’s a somewhat moody, slightly chubby woman with long dark hair and grey-green eyes. Again, her and Tara have never really gotten along. Though they do care about one another, they don’t really have compatible personalities and are often arguing.
Friends:
Best Friend Overall:
Link: Tara and Link have been best friends since they were kids. They’ve always been near inseparable, and seem to have a deep understanding of each other. They spend a lot of time together, and they can always rely on and confide in one another, though they don’t talk seriously all that often. They enjoy each other’s company, and Tara constantly drags Link along with her when she wishes to explore or wander off somewhere.
Other Closest/Best Friends:
Rusl: He’s almost like a father to Tara, though he himself and others notice this more than
Tara does. The two get along well, and spend a bit of time together as Tara both likes to help his family whenever possible, and he had been training her lightly in the art of swordplay since she was young. He only really taught her the basics, but she’s ok with this, as she doubts she’ll ever need to use it.
Uli: She is also seen as a somewhat parental-figure, almost like a second mother. Again, Tara doesn’t completely realise this but she does see it more so. Uli appreciates the help Tara gives, and likes having the younger girl around to talk to. The two sometimes share tea on rainy afternoons and such.
Midna: Though in the beginning the two did not get along at all, finding each other bothersome for various reasons, Midna finding Tara immature and annoying, and Tara finding Midna unnecessarily rude and just plain irritating. However as the story progresses and the two get to know more about each other they begin to build up a mutual respect which creates a bond that eventually forms into a close friendship. Even though thid respect isn’t always evident from the way the insult and tease one another it is there, and shows it’s self when the two are in serious situations.
Telma: The two start on good terms when Tara helps Link in safely protecting Telma and Ilia when they try to get Prince Ralis to Kakariko. They seem to develop an immediate bond after they start talking for some reason, personalities just seeming to click. Tara seems to somewhat admire Telma, and can often be seen talking to her when Link enters Telma’s bar after Tara joins the resistance.
Close/Good Friends:
Ilia: The two have a very… interesting relationship. On the positive side, Ilia is Tara’s closest girl friend. The two don’t always get along, but because they grew up together as the only females their own age they figured out how to get along. Overall the two often talk, and try to help each other though things. Usually their friendship revolves around the more serious aspects of life, and when they spend time together it is often spent just talking or something along those lines.
Colin: The two likely wouldn’t be very close if not for Tara’s relationship with his parents. However, because she is around so often the two see each other a lot, they have become close friends with a relationship slightly reminiscent to that of a brother and sister. Tara notices Colin more than the other kids seem to, and spends more time with him as well. She sees how shy he is and has been gently trying to pry him out of his shell, though her efforts thus far have been close to fruitless.
Auru: The two meet at Telma’s, both being a part of the resistance. The two get along quite well, Auru appreciating Tara’s creative outlook and energy, and Tara benefiting from Auru’s knowledge.
Ashei: The two seem to get along quite well, Tara at least finding it rather enjoyable to be in the company of another female who is so… masculine, for lack of a better description. Tara’s not bothered by Ashei’s blunt personality, and the two get along quote well. The main thing that stops them from being closer friends is Ashei’s wariness of Tara’s reckless nature, and refusal to ever bring her along when she’s going to discover something.

Friends:
Fado: Tara hangs out with Link at work often, though she does try not to be distracting or a bother. Because of this and the fact that they grew up together she’s come to know Fado pretty well. Still, the twonever really developed a very close relationship. She does try not to bother him when Link isn’t around, not wanting to distract him and accidentally cause the man she’s deemed somewhat absentminded to lose another goat. Because of her constant presence Fado sometimes likes to tease Link about her as well.
Bo: Tara and Bo know each other quite well due to Tara’s friendship with his daughter. The two get along well. Bo seems to understand Ilia and Tara’s friendship more than the two of them do themselves, and it’s not uncommon for him to help the two mend their friendship again when the two have a falling out.
Malo: Tara and Malo get along, though they don’t seem to spent too much time together, or talk very much when they are together. She’s babysat the two enough to be use to his particular way of communication. She isn’t bothered by what some may see as rude, and the two like each other, though Tara had admitted to finding his personality despite his age as somewhat strange and even a little odd.
Talo: Tara and Talo’s relationship is interesting. It’s not that they don’t get along, but Tara finds him to be the most antagonistic towards Colin, whom she is closest to out of the children. She also thinks he is a little reckless sometimes which she tends to watch him for though she is the same way, ironically. He has a measure of respect for her from her babysitting him when he was younger, so sometimes her efforts to keep him out of trouble do work. She does care for him, her motherliness seeming to show most in respects to him.
Renado: After arriving in Kakariko village and receiving help from Renado she comes to like the man and does what she can to help out after being rescued by Link. She developed a respect for him, and feels as though she owes him both for helping her and the children when they were brought there and for treating the wounds she got when she was kidnapped.
Shad: The two seem to get along ok, however sometimes Tara’s personality is a little much for Shad. Sometimes he doesn’t feel all that positively about her, but the more time he is stuck with her the more they get along, Shad seeing Tara’s intelligence and kind heart.
Luda: Thoiugh the two are together briefly, Luda comes to admire Tara’s strength, courage, and loyalty. She mentions this to Link in some of her dialogue.
Notable Acquaintances:
Zelda: Though the two don’t really know each other well, and don’t meet until the end of the game the two have a good impression of one another. From the brief times they speak they seem to like eachother.
Other Ordon Villagers: Any villagers I did not name, such as most of the children’s parents; Tara knows all of them, but doesn’t really have any relationship with them beyond pleasantries, really.
Disliked:
Dislikes (One sided):
Barnes: The two got off to a bad start, Tara finding him to be cowardly and she was very irritated when Barnes scared the children. She REALLY doesn’t like him in the beginning, but she does begin to tolerate him later on; still, she never does like him.
Disliked By (One Sided): -
Doesn’t Get Along With:
Beth: Simple as that, the two don’t get along. Though they tolerate one another, their interests are vastly different and their personalities simply clash. Tara mostly ignores Beth, and the younger usually does the same thing, though sometimes Tara, and her closeness with Link in particular bother her into attempting to aggravate Tara in subtle ways.
Ilia: Though the two are friends, they have parts of their personality that clash strongly. Sometimes Tara finds Ilia too bossy, and Tara begins to get on Ilia’s nerves. They get into disputes sometimes, but they usually aren’t too bad and don’t last all that long.
Enemies:
Zant: Even before meeting him, Tara hates him for obvious reasons. He also finds her annoying for helping Link in his quest. Tara’s anger against him grows as he learns what he did to Midna. After she meets him, she finds him to be stupid and whiny.
Ganondorf: Tara’s focus throughout almost all of the game is on Zant, so even after learning of Ganondorf she doesn’t really bother forming an opinion of him. This changes in the end when she meets him, finding that she very quickly hates him even more than she did Zant.

Love Interest(s):
Link: Link and Tara have a sweet, ‘childhood friends’ sort of romance. The two ended up developing feelings for one another through the course of time, something a few adults have or do pick up on. Still, the two of them don’t really realise it until Link’s heroic journey begins. Tara starts to realise it at some point while thinking about him, and it really hits her in the way she reacts when he’s in peril, or exceptionally dangerous situations.

Appearance:
Body:
Height: 5’4
Weight: 125lbs.
Chest Measurement: 34B
Body Type: Slight pear, longer torso

Her iconic appearance is a pair of knee-length baggy blue pants, paired with a strapless red shirt and the classic Ordon style of cloth tied around her waist. The cloth is an almost white grey tied together with a strop of red fabric that is rimmed with a white strip accented with green and red details. Tara hates shoes, and is often seen walking around barefoot. She does wear shoes when she needs to though, usually just strapping on a pair of brown sandals.
Face:

Size: Slightly large
Depth: Though they don’t draw you in immediately Tara’s eyes have a deep quality about them if you look at them long enough.
Expression: Her eyes don’t really express what she feels, though they do have a certain look to them when she’s deep in thought or has something on her mind.
Eyelash Length: Average
Piercings/Tattoo’s/Scars:

Tattoos: -
Scars: Tara has many small scars on her hands, arms, lower legs and such from her recklessness which was much worse when she was young. None are too noticeable though, aside from the ones on her feet. She has a lot of scars on her feet from absolutely refusing to ever wear shoes as a kid. Some are noticeable and some aren’t, but the worse is on the outer side of her left foot. It’s near the bottom, and runs nearly the entire length of her foot.

I like the concept, but I don't understand how it's possible for Tara to return to Hyrule from the Twilight Realm, even with the mirror and being able to catch up with him there, Hyrule Castle, and the City in the Sky...

Thank you ^^

And I don't actually imagine her ever going into the Twilight Realm. I think she's probably stick with the resistance whilst Link was there, and just to stick around him sometimes when he was in Hyrule. I'm sorry if I made that confusing >.<
