A beautiful model to begin with, she becomes part of the scenery with her appearance & dressing style. A lovely hairstyle that seems to fit her style. She captures your attention with lovely charm with the warm sunlight to her side. The lighting is perfect
The only thing that takes away from it's charm is the cropping & background. Although the attention "is and should be" on the model, we're missing the location that's around her in the background... however, if the background takes away from the model, then perhaps the location was wrong.
A beautiful image, but yet there's a feeling that something missing.

YouΒ΄re right, palm trees in the background go better in combination with water. ButΒ I actually kind of like the background even though it longs for attention because it gives a unique and refreshing touch to the picture. Β If the model took off her shoes and necklace, this would probably add to the style.

I agree.... I think water would've helped a lot, that could be what's missing. I still love this, but maybe a touch added or taken away here or there would make a difference....

What can I say after the previous comment, it is beautiful work, especially outside where lighting can be a problem.
I too would like to see more of the back ground. However too me it seems to obviously a portrait as the model is looking at the camera...it would be more artistic (my opinion only, I am sure) if the model was looking elsewhere, like if you had added more background the left or right, that she was looking slightly in that direction, or even looking slightly in the opposite direction. It would give the image more mystery.
However even though I personally would like her looking away, for looking at the camera, the way she is doing it is good...head tucked and the hint that the eyebrows may be starting to frown.
