as the name says, its a big planet, and a small planet, in a nebula...Took about 11 hours, in Photoshop, with a small cat eating my face... oh it took, aboot 23 layers, 4 malteaser packets, and 2 cups of coffee....
As usual with a few of the new deviations, ITS BLUE, because my monitor, can now, not display red, nor GREEN, which means all variation in hues, is totally useless... happy days.... so i started monochromatic and added a filter...
So if this works out as totally caboodled with colour, you know why....

It's a nice piece. The planet texture looks as if it could be a bit clearer which would add more realism, but other than that, great work.

well thankyou, i think i was pretty happy with it at the time and the compression rate on the jpeg applied sharp areas to the picture that i didnt want (like a large grid like dust under the planet itself) i lost my hard drive to a power surge and hardware fault a month or two ago so i have never been able to restore this picture, pity... but thank you for the comment!

Really good job. Id say the only thing that bugs me is there is a texture in the stars near the bottom of the planet that i feel doesnt fit with the rest of the scene. Its like the stars are suddenly square blocks? I dunno if you'll see what I mean but thats the only thing that i found "off" about the piece. For reference its right below where you have the light glare on the planet. Otherwise awesome:

It looks nicer small, I think. I am not sure why. Maybe just because I can see it all. Not certain where I want to focus.

hmm ok... well i'll keep that in mind, although the effect of the big planet is to make you look between it and the nebula core, and then find this tiny planet striving to co exsist between them..
