Oh I don't think I will be at the conference I just got involved recently. My politics used to just be more individual and I'd just attend protests here and there and try to convince my friends about communism but obviously you need to do something with them so I decided to *join the revolution* as it were.

I'm in the process of reading Das Kapital, but it's really hard going. I'm still on, like, the first book. It's hard work! How about you?
Also, you should come to conference. It won't be so much about politics, I think, as it will be the structure of the SSY. Since you're new, it'd probably be a really good for you to meet all the people. I've been on the SSY forums and involved in SSY activities for a little while now and I still don't know everyone, so I'm looking forward to conference. Plus, there'll be a social, which means booze.

Oh yeah I'm reading Das Kapital (but the English version) and I'd agree that it isn't easy! I've also read the Communist Manifesto which is shorter and not as difficult.
I'll think about the conference then, is that the one in Stirling (or am I just imagining things)? It sounds like a good time, and obviously if theres going to be booze...
Nah I didn't go on that march I usually just go to marches in Edinburgh.

Yeah, I've got this real old copy of Das Kapital, printed it 1912 or something like that. My brother gave it to me after finding it in this second hand book store. Every time I turn a page, I cough. 
Yep, conference will be in Stirling in early February. It's a "social and sleepover", so it should be absolutely awesome. It's a great excuse to get drunk and paint each other's toenails.

Ah starwars, I am not that big a fan but I can enjoy it. Amazingly I didn't actually get time to see the latest film but I did like all the old ones. Still, I prefer Firefly and Serenity by far. Are you a star wars fan?

Well I tend to write about human nature quite often, and my science fiction tends to be more near future stuff than far-flung, multiple planet stuff. I would really like to do some of that ridiculous stuff sometime soon though. Robots are always fun to write about, and artificial intelligences.
