But I did not find the scene in English so I will try to translate what the scene says in Latin Spanish.

Translation:

Vergil DMC3: How did you let me become you?

Vergil DMC5: B-b-but b-but it's all Dante's fault

Vergil DMC3: B-b-b-b-b-but it's all Dante's fault

Vergil DMC3:Get out of here!

Personally Vergil now seems like a joke to me, I think I liked that although Dante was the "clown" with Vergil you could take things more seriously and that was cool, because in DMC before, I think they knew better how to separate jokes from really serious situations.

Anyway, I think I've already commented about that in other parodies, although I also know that other fans now like Vergil more, but with me it happened the other way around, and something like that happened to me with Bayonetta too after Bayonetta 3, but not with Cereza as character if not with the story, I think that I have only talked about that with two or 3 people, I remember that I wanted to make an image to throw a tantrum too XDD but I started forgetting for doing so many things so I lost "motivation".
