Stern and unforgiving, Inanna expects perfection from everyone around her - but from herself most of all. Failure is not tolerated. She will not hesitate to dole out just punishment for mistakes. Some people assume that this cold, taciturn and blunt exterior is a work personality - but it's ice all the way down, baby. She does not like to fraternize and finds frivolities like niceties, socializing and birthdays pointless and a waste of time.

Backstory:
The Yao family is a presitigious, old, political family in China who strengthened their position through political marriages. The daughters are bartering chips and Inanna was meant to be no exception. From a young age, she was already betrothed to the scion of another prestigious family, but that all changed when her magic manifested itself. This was the chance for power untold.

The marital arrangement was changed and The Yaos began looking for a powerful magical family to gain a foothold in the wizarding world. They sent her to live in England to enroll in the "best wizarding school in the world". They found a suitable fiance for her there. When they turned sixteen, they were married immediately. Upon graduation, she found a good government job at the ministry in the Muggle Liaison office.

Everything changed after the Second Wizarding War.

When the dust settled, Inanna trained up and transfered to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. She threw herself into work, the sounds of typewriters and quills drowning out everything else.

The Head Auror was involved in a scandal involving several kneazles and quietly resigned. Inanna was placed as interim Head Auror and, eventually, permanent Head Auror.

Her marriage couldn't pay the toll that came with the position and she separated from her husband.
