after a few drawings I thougt I can upload some old star trek nerd stuff... like a 3DRender with some postwork I did almost three years ago... I like the picture a lot and so I refreshed some colors an here we go.Special Thanks to he 3D Artists from Sci Fi Art & Cyberbob.

Still, like Twilight, she could have simply been crippled, towed back to starbase and fixed...and the crew would have gotten a new Sovereign Class ship like Odyssey, then had THAT ship hijacked, and had to board their old vessel to try to take back the new one...as we did.

Actually....the story was for the USS TWILIGHT--MY STARSHIP! NOT the one in the picture!
The Excalibur was destroyed, and the crew moved to an upgraded Excalibur, a Galaxy Class!

I thought I told you! Twilight was towed back to Earth after Operation: Return (we took heavy damage, and I used our warp core as a makeshift photon torpedo with a tractor beam, to destroy a Jem Hadar battleship!) Twilight was repaired, and we were all aboard the new USS Odyssey, a Sovereign class. THEN, a changeling disguised as Admiral Uhura hijacked our ship! Most of the crew ejected into pods, and I after fighting with her, beamed out into space. We all got aboard our old ship, Twilight, for a show-down to retake the Odyssey. I ended up having to BLOW UP OUR NEW SOVEREIGN CLASS!!!!
The real Uhura was NOT pleased at all! (neither was I, but we got our old ship back!)

About a year...we ran through our shakedown cruise, and took part in some battles with Odyssey.
It HURT to have to enter the damn destruct codes for my new ship....

During Operation: Return? Well, let's see...major damage as I recall was our portside nacelle got ripped right off, primary deflector dish destroyed, multiple hull breaches, and the warp core began to overload. Oh, and half our sensors were inoperative thanks to our primary deflector dish being destroyed. Of course, all this was determined by dice rolls. We had four Valkyrie warpfighters defending us, or we would've been blown out of space altogether.
(The fighters are from the Star Trek: Invasion video game; we borrowed them for the ST:TNG Roleplaying Game by Last Unicorn Games.)
I used a brilliant strategy, to defend the Defiant and Capt. Sisko. I ordered my chief engineer to eject the core, then tractored it into a Jem Hadar battleship! We used a classified sensor jammer to blind them temporarilly, for which Uhura really laced into me! "Let me get this straight, Captain. You used a highly-classified piece of equipment, during a heated battle with all eyes of the enemy watching--and tossed a malfunctioning warp core into an enemy vessel, with your ship well within range of the blast? Are you out of your El-Aurian MIND?!?"

The ship survived, though we had the indignity of being towed halfway back to a starbase.
In Uhura's office (she was holding an ODN cable, while my first officer and myself were standing at attention.)
"What, praytell, is this?"
"Ma'am! That's the cable we used to hold the helm together so we could continue to fight, ma'am!"
(My eyes shifted to the right, glaring at the Andorian.)
"I see. You are aware, gentlemen, that Admiral Scott is having conniptions. Do you know how many hours I had to listen to his complaining about the 'puir, wee lassie those hooligans destroyed?' TWO! Scotty wants the two of you court martialed."
"Ma'am, Twilight is a lightly armed science vessel. I was under orders to serve as support for Defiant," I said.
"I am aware of that, Captain. Just as I'm aware that you ejected your malfunctioning warp core, and tractor beamed it into a Jem Hadar battleship, turning it into a makeshift photon torpedo. Now, whatever possessed you to use a highly classified sensor jammer, in full view of the enemy, during the battle?"
I cleared my throat. This would take a bit more explaining. "Admiral, it was the only tactic I could think of, to make certain our warp core hit its target, by blinding them. I'm sorry for revealing classified technology to the enemy, but in my estimation, we didn't have any other choice."
Uhura pursed her lips, and flipped on a PADD. "So, you made a command decision. Fortunately, Captain Sisko agrees with you. 'For conspicuous bravery under fire,' Captain Sisko has put you in for the Christopher Pike Metal of Valor. I've seconded that. Congratulations, Captain. Now, since Twilight will take at least a year to fix in Spacedock--and that's without Scotty's usual repair estimates--and we cannot have an experienced crew sitting planetside while there's a war on, your entire crew is being transferred."
Uhura hit a switch, and the main screen in her office revealed a beautiful sight. The new ship was long and sleek, an eagle-shaped dream, that appeared to be doing Warp 9 sitting still. "No. Only the most senior captains get one of those...!"
"That's....a Sovereign class starship," ch'Serth said. "The third one built, if I'm not mistaken."
"Correct, Commander ch'Serth. U.S.S. Odyssey is the third Sovereign class starship, and she's due to warp out to the front in six days. By the way, it IS Commander, now, not just Lieutenant Commander."
I pursed my lips. "Nyota, why do I get the feeling I'm being buttered up for something?"
The refined lady gave me a cheshire cat grin, and passed me her PADD. "A Sovereign class normally has a standard crew of about a thousand. You're keeping your full crew of 75, who will all be promoted to act as your core staff. The rest of the crew, however...."
My eyes went wide. Every last crewman had the same, low rank: Midshipman. Midshipman. Midshipman..... "Nyota, you're kidding me! You're sending me to the front with a boatload of children who haven't even graduated the Academy yet!"
"No, Captain. I'm giving you a highly-trained crew who merely lack experience. Train them. Turn them into a Starfleet crew. Those are your orders, gentlemen. Dismissed."

I had added 3 courage points to Ricky's roll (Ricky being my chief engineer in the game) then, Tony the GM told me it was unnecessary....Scotty himself had installed it! The cloak activated without a hitch!

WOW! Wo soll ich zuerst anfangen? Beim Schiff! Tolle Wahl, die Ambassador-Klasse gehört zu meinen Lieblingen. Das ist eines der schönsten Designs der Sternenflotte - leider unterschätzt und in den Serien kaum gezeigt. Für mich ist das die perfekte Mixtur aus der alten Enterprise und der Ent-D, die beide zwar ihre Schokoladenseiten hatten, aber es gab auch Perspektiven, aus denen haben sie... nicht mehr so hübsch ausgesehen. Die Ambassador hingegen sieht rundherum einfach gut aus, in jeder Einstellung, die ich kenne. Außerdem war das anfangs das Protagonistenschiff aus der "New Frontier"-Buchreihe, weshalb ich mit der Ambassador direkt was gutes verbinde. Schön, dass du dich für sie entschieden hast. Und die Präsentation ist toll. Schön grelle Feuereffekte. Und ich mag den dezenten, aber glaubhaft erscheinenden Rauchschweif. Wenn durch das Plasmaleck an der Gondel mit dem Blau nicht so ein schönes Farbspiel stattfinden würde, würde mir das Schiff fast leid tun
