Fantasy armour isn't usually designed with actual practicality in mind, even on guys. Hence the term 'fantasy'

Do you mean as in the armour on the females is sexist? Personally, it doesn't tend to bother me, the guys have it just as bad- they also have ridiculous bodies, often complete with rippling abs, tight asses and bulging crotches. As for the characterisation of females in fantasy, that's a whole other kettle of fish.
