a quickie painting done for my Baldur's gate 2 custom character portrait(because i don't seem to like any default ones)its rough because its quick and besides it's going to be cropped and resized to 110x170 pixels and 38x60 pixels and you can't really see much at that size anyway
i think this could be a portrait of a rogue(thief, bard) or a magic user(sorceror, mage)....well..just my opinion
(i made a swashbuckler out of him)done freehand in PS with reference

Hey how come I missed this in my devwatch? Good brushwork, although I think you might benefit from making use of large brushes sometimes, and the line of his jaw would look better if the line was made neater. Very expressive and good colours!

Oh, Baldur's Gate 2. Still stands on my shelf. Never got around to playing it. Baldur's Gate 1 was such a great game. Currently, I'm playing Neverwinter Nights + Add-Ons. I really like how you can immerse in the D&D world. On the other hand, you're likely to spend hours on end playing those games.
With your talent, creating a custom character portrait was a great idea. I never really find one that fits me or the character I'm playing. Your character has a very dreamy look. Yet daring. Swashbuckler fits well, in my opinion. Due to his pale skin and black hair and clothing, being a sorcerer (necromancer?) would also seem plausible. I like how you've done the hair...the individual strands...makes him look very "weathered". I hope he fares well under your click and command.
