Mmm ... a hug eh? I'd have to think about that! I think St Andrews Cross spiders are quite cute .. in a 'spidery' sort of way.
I had a look at the wasp spider (UK) and it is very similar to the St Andrews Cross spider. They both have yellow stripes on their abdomen.Β The males are often eaten by the females after mating.Β I glad it is a habit we humans don't copy!!! lol

They're really nice spiders. I don't like spiders generally, but the StΒ Andrews cross spider is lovely.Β

The little house spiders are boring. I like ones with color and tarantulas are really cool.

I never seen one, but they sometimes are found on the bottom of swimming pools. TheyΒ trap a small bubble of air in hairs around the abdomen. They can stay underwater for hours!
