'How dare you try and frame your brother like that! What were you thinking?' Ahadi roared at his son.
'I was thinking, that perhaps,' Taka growled. 'That you might just see that Mufasa is not the most perfect thing that ever walked the pridelands! That you might see that you had another son, that you might finally turn to me and tell me that you care! How wrong I was.'
Mufasa listened to the blazing arguement rocketing backwards and fowards from his father to his brother. How had they come to grow this far apart? He put his head down, unable to listen anymore, but unable to walk away. He had to know the truth.
Was Scar really on Zira's side like Sarafina had said?
'Taka, don't be so stupid! I know perfectly well that you're my son, you don't need to do something as stupid as that to prove that to me. Besides, it completely backfired! Look at your eye! That scar will be there for the rest of your life!'
'Then let it be a sign,' Taka growled, an angry yet calm tone to his voice. 'that I am no longer a member of your family, Ahadi. You have always looked down on me, and compared me, and I know you wished so much that I was not your son,' Ahadi's eyes clouded with tears at these words. 'and that you have picked Mufasa to be king - instead of me.'
'I never said Mufasa would be the only king, Taka. I have always said that I wanted both my sons to grow up and be majestic and powerful kings-'
'And you have made it clear that one has failed you. So why should I stay, while my brother is welcomed into the royal world, whilst I am left behind, stuck in the neverending list of lions in line for the throne? I have a place, you know, where I am looked upon as a hero, as a god- as a king.'
Tears we streaming down Ahadi's face as he looked at what the son he had once loved so dearly had become.
'So be it, Taka, if you don't want to be here with me, your mother and your brother anymore, then go. I am not stopping you. But I want you to know, that I never looked down on you, and never picked Mufasa ove-'
'Don't lie to me!' Taka roared. 'I would think, that at a time like this, you would finally stop denying your hatred for me. But it was just another way of me foolishly thinking you might take me back. But you have shown me your real personality Ahadi, and I have no want to see you again. For all you did, you can rot in hell.'
'Taka,' Ahadi started. 'You know that I never looked down on you. It was just- well- you were, a difficult child. You skipped training, and that was something I couldn't force you to do, and I couldn't make Mufasa miss out just because you didn't want to come...'
'And you didn't think I might grow up?' Taka laughed, but tears were rolling down his face all the while. 'That one day I might need you, and you wouldn't be there? No, Ahadi, you're right. I am no son of yours. I am to rebellious and imperfect to be one of yor princes. And i have known that for very a long time. So let this scar be a sign that I have moved on, that I am no longer your son, your prince. Let this be a sign of my new identity.'
'If you want it that way, Taka, then so be it-'
'My name is not Taka. That was your son's name. My name is Scar.'
'Fine then, Scar,' Ahadi winced at the mention of the word. 'So be it. I gave you a chance, but you wouldn't accept.' He walked away into the cave of Pride Rock. Tears were streaming down Taka's face. He turned to leave.
'Where are you going to go?' Mufasa asked.
'As if you don't know.' Scar laughed sarcastically. He turned and walked towards his brother.
'You know, Mufasa, I thought, that in a situation like this, you might support me. But you have shown me your true colours. I have nothing left to say here.' He turned and started to walk away.
'I hope you and Zira...are very happy together.'
Scar stopped, as if he were about to say something, but then carried on walking, Mufasa knew, away to the outlands. To Zira. And Mufasa knew as he watched his brother walk away out of his old life and into his new, that he had lost his best friend and brother. He whispered to himself as he realised the monster walking away from him now was not the Taka he had once known.
'Brother...'

Well, I wanted a story to go with this, sorry it's quite long but I wanted to make my own version of this chapter in the Lion King story, so here it is took all in all about 3 hours, was just quite fun to do and write really. I love the Mufasa and Taka story
