Description
This is a little different from my "sunshine" gallery, isn't it? It's quite... I don't know, just sad..
Is that bad? 
But I had this on my mind for a while now and yesterday I had a very creative mood. ^^
It's Snape who tried to rescue Lily when he heard that the Potters have been betrayed - but he came too late. I don't think this was in the book, I just made it up..
Oh, and there is a beautiful german song which has been played in the radio while I painted, and the lyrics fit soo well (I translate them here)

Ach so, ich war mir nicht sicher... Ich mag Lily. Und ihre Beziehung zu Snape auch und gerade weil das ganze so tragisch war, find ich es so interessant! ^^ Ich dachte mir dass sie unfair war als sie ihm nicht verziehen hat, aber Snape war ja auch nicht ganz unschuldig.

Und nö verwirrt bin ich nun nicht weil du eigentlich aus Ungarn kommst. Alles ok 
Darf ich fragen wofür du sie magst warum? Ich kann das nämlich einfach nicht verstehen wie die Leute das können... nachdem was sie sich geleistet hat.. :/

Bzw ich nenne dir auch gern den Grund warum ich sie es einfach ncht kann und wraum das keine tragische Liebe mehr ist sondern nur noch traurig, da das kein Leben ist was ich mir wübschen würde oder ich wem anders
Well I was asked that question often and actually it explains itself if you have read the books, but ok.
I try to explain this in detail:
1. When they were still 'best friends' and Lily is ranting about James and Co, the same time she defends him! She calls herself Severus' best friend and a second later she says he's unthankful because James saved his live... Sorry but in that case, I as a friend who paid attention over the past four years, would have known that it wasn't that easy! That perhaps it was a very bad and dangerous joke, because the Marauders always played tricks on Snape.
2. She defends the whole group playing tricks on him. They couldn't be bad or evil! Why not? Because they don't use black magic like the friends of Severus do. She tries to tell him that his interests are evil, but in my eyes she hand't got a clue. I see white and black magic not as good and evil. It's always the wizard which use it for good or bad things. For example: Ron knocked out a troll with a simple white spell, the Wingardium Leviosa. In another case I could kill someone by a flying rock! -.- On the other side can I protect someone with black magic, using it against an attacker. You see Lily condemn him by a simple interest... And with that she plays all down what James did, and I'm sure there were plenty bad and cruel things he did!
3. In Snape's memory in book 5 we see him in a situation where he's helpless. Lily joins as a sacred samaritan and try to 'protect' her friend. Well I would think that she was more angry with James and Sirius... At least Ron would have cursed Draco if it was him who let Harry flying upside down! In fact she was rather smiling when they presented her 'best friend's underwear to the whole school! Good girl, bravo!
4. He insulted her very badly which isn't right at all. Even if it was in a very special situation, cause he didn't wanted to be weak. But just a second after that she insults him too. She calls him by his nickname Sniffelus, say to him he should wash his underwear and let him behind. She didn't care about him anymore. Even if James let disappear Severus underpants only to humilate him for lifetime! What a great friend!
5. And now we come to the point where normal friends would start a discussion. Well he did something wrong, she did too, perhaps they would argue a bit more and then she could accept his excuse. We don't forget that he was sorry about calling her a Mudblood, but she didn't want to hear it. Instead she tells him, that she was ashamed! Yes really ashamed of him! Shouldn't it be the other way round that he as a Slytherin was ashamed of his Muggleborn friend? But he wasn't, he wanted to continue this friendship. Was willing to forget about her mistake to left him behind and she had nothing better to do as to send him off?
Well sorry and then she married Potter *rolls eyes* You can' tell me that he changed so much that he never laid a finger or his wand on Severus when he was together with Lily. So she didn't care about this anymore. Or perhaps she cared as much as she had when she was friends with that Slytherin? Why should she defend a person which she don't like, because he was such an ass? For me she only played a game. She wanted to be a nice person and that nobody could think bad of her. So it was her luck that he made a mistake and she had a reason to break up the 'friendship'. I hope this shows clearly why I hate her so much.
Most of all, Lily never deserves the love Severus offered to her. Because he paid for the rest of his lifetime for a guilt/mistake to protect Harry, just cause of her and suffer in all of it. Is that fair? He made just one lil mistake and what did she? So many people call this live of Snape romantic, passionate and wonderful because it's such a big love story but to be honest: THAT isn't romantic, that isn't passionate, that it just poor, unfair and very sad! Would you want such a life?

So... tut mir Leid dass es so lange gedauert hat, aber heute hab ich endlich Mal einen Tag frei bekommen ^^
Zunächst einmal muss ich dennoch fragen warum du findest dass Marie-Anoinette ein Misstück war? Manche sagen sie sei selbstsüchtig und verwöhnt gewesen andere behaupten das stimmt alles gar nicht, aber ehrlich gesagt weiß ich da nicht genau was stimmt und was nicht.. und wenn wir schon dabei sind, darf ich fragen warum du Louis XVI so gern magst? 
Was Lily und Sev angeht... Oh Gott, ich weiß gar nicht was ich antworten soll. In manchen Hinsichten hast du schon Recht. Aber ich glaube nicht, dass Lily z.B. jemals verlangt hätte, dass Snape ihren Sohn beschützt. Das hat er getan, weil er eingesehen hat, dass er viele Fehler gemacht hat und wusste, dass es das einzig Richtige war auf Harry aufzupassen (weil er Voldermort besigen könnte und weil er Lily am wichtigsten war) und das schöne daran ist finde ich, dass Snape wusste dass Lily ihn nicht so liebt wie er ihn und er trotzdem aus Liebe zu ihr gehandelt hat - selbstlos.
Was seine Persönlichkeit angeht - es gab ja einige Sachen die darauf angedeutet haben, dass er nicht ganz unschuldig war; z.B dass er mit dem Ast fast Petunia erschlagen hätte usw. Mit der schwarzen Magie, das sehe ich so: sie ist wie Waffen in unserer Welt. Natürlich ist es auch möglich jemanden mit einem Stein oder einem Küchenmesser zu töten, aber diese dürfen trotzdem verwendet werden. Aber Waffen - Pistolen, usw. - dürfen nur mit erlaubnis gekeuft werden, weil diese nunmal (fast) nur zum Töten verwendet werden. Da macht es die tatsache auch nicht besser wenn du jemanden damit beschützen willst indem du auf jemanden schießt. Ich hoffe du verstehst was ich meine.
Also Snape war da wirklich nichtt auf der richtigen Spur, hat sich mit späteren Todessern angefreundet und wurde dann selber ein Todesser.....
In einem Interview hat Rowling mal angedeutet dass Lily James natürlich nicht wirklich "hasste". Wahrscheinlich war von Anfang an das Gegenteil der Fall, nur halt dass James wirlich nicht der netteste Mensch war, das stimmt. Ich könnte auch jeden verstehen der sagt er hasst ihn obwohl ich ihn ebenso mag wie Lily. ^^ Teenagers sind nunmal oft fieße, unfaire Arschlöcher ^^
Das Problem bei dieser Lily/Snape-Era ist, dass jeder ziemlich viel hineininterpretieren kann.... Also du siehst wahrscheinlich alles ganz anders als ich. Ich hab dir nur versucht zu erklären wie ich das sehe, aber ich will dich nicht überzeugen

I like the idea that Snape had to go and see Lily's death for himself, to torture himself with one last look. I bet he went on the guise of looking for Voldemort and/or his body.

Maybe he thought there was still a chance of saving her and couldn't believe that there wasn't.

To me, that was one of the only things JKR never properly explained: what they heck happened to Voldemort's body? Was it somehow destroyed because of the horcruxes? Everyone was convinced he was still "out there," which makes me believe there wasn't a clear body to show people. So confusing...

Im gonna cry!!! I´m not like the sev x lily fan but I have nothing against snape, this is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!! it gives me a feeling of pitty for Snape (and very few works of art give me a feeling at all) one of the worst things in the world is when you can´t receive the same kind of love from the person you trully love
