i find adding details relaxing, i feel like i'm getting soemthing done as i do it, and occasionally it makes something that looks nice. i try to avoid ignoring its inclusion.

i had some trouble with this lettering, i think i called myself a dickhead about a hundred times as i did it.

Man! I know exactly what you mean! It's soothing in a sort of passive way. I'm so compulsive with the details. I find it hard to draw something and not add texture or tidbits... just doesn't feel whole without it.

Dude, you're lettering is awesome, don't hate on it!

Also, I'm glad that you were drunk when you replied, cause I'm a bit tipsy myself at the moment. Had some beer, then some white wine, then poured some red wine and decided I should go to bed instead, but only after I checked my deviant art, so cheers, mate!

haha, thank you very much! even though i have about three completely different styles and i am terribly inconsistent.

i just like imagining cool things while i listen to music, that's where most of my favourite ideas come from.
