When I began reading comics, I didn't really know who Kirby was. I began as an X-Men fan and I was more attracted to the 90's superstars : Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane ... I discovered how Kirby was important maybe two years after beginning. I remember an issue of the Silver Surfer in the french magazine Strange Special Origines in which the hand of Galactus opens and then the Silver Surfer comes out of it. It was really incredible.

Lee, McFarlane … but also Sienkiewicz, Miller, Cho, Leinil Yu…. They are all Superstars for me!!
Actually you're right: after 'learning' from many other artists, from which I was inspired for my work and my painting, in the end I went back to the King:
the Kirby Grandeur is better appreciated when you are more grown up.
