Sailor Mercury, age 14: Beginning her training as Sailor Mercury, Ami was the brains of the group and came up with plans for the team. As her powers are water based on the Japanese mythology, Ami uses them for strategic purposes rather than offensive attacks. She uses various computerized equipment to study their enemies and their weakness. Ami wears a uniform colored in shades of blue(mainly sapphire blue and light blue). In the manga and live action series, her outfit is initially sleeveless and she has three blue studs in each of her ears. Her Sailor Moon Crystal design is largely faithful to her manga design, with the exception of having one blue stud on her right ear, and three on the left. In contrast, the original anime initially depicted her with sleeves and a single blue stud in each ear. Sailor Mercury is given specific titles throughout the various series, including Soldier of Water and Intelligence, Soldier of Wisdom, Soldier of Justice and Wisdom, and Soldier of Love and Exams. Her personality is no different from when she is a civilian, although certain special abilities are unavailable to her in that form.

Dark Sailor Mercury, age 14: Exclusive to the live action version, Ami was brainwashed into joining the Dark Kingdom as Dark Mercury. In Act 20 , Ami begins to feel quite lonely, as all of her friends seem too busy with other pursuits to pay attention to her. On her way home, Kunzite appears before her in a swirl of black rose petals. She tries to defend herself, but the villain sends a blast of energy at her. Her head droops as his energy takes over. In Act 21, Makoto goes to Ami's house and finds her lying on her bed, nearly unconscious. Makoto makes her some food, and when Ami is feeling better, she suggests that they go to an amusement park. They go, but while on the merry-go-round, Ami loses consciousness. Motoki then takes her to Minato-ku Municipal Juuban Hospital.
While waiting for her medical records, Makoto hears a strange noise come from Ami's hospital room. She rushes in and finds that the room has been torn to pieces, and black rose petals are scattered about. Ami, staring blankly, walks to Kunzite's lair. Sailor Jupiter tries in vain to save her, but by this point, Ami is completely under Kunzite's control. She transforms with "Dark Power, Make Up" into Dark Mercury, an evil incarnation of Sailor Mercury, and challenges the Sailor Guardians to a battle. With the exception of Venus who considered her as an enemy due to her mission being similar to that of the Outer Senshi in the first anime, no one was willing to fight against her

Dark Mercury continues as an enemy of the Sailor Senshi until Act 28 when she finds that she has hurt Sailor Moon. She is healed because of her love for Usagi, and Kunzite loses her. She has no memory of what has happened while she was Dark Mercury but feels guilty that she has tried to hurt her friends.
Dark Mercury's sailor fuku had several unusual design elements. Her choker, collar, skirt, glove fittings, and boots were a slightly darker shade of blue than her usual costume, while her front bow was replaced by a dark blue butterfly -like design, trimmed in black. Her choker, collar, and boots were decorated with a black pattern. Her back bow was black and made of a netting-like material. Her sleeves were made of the same lacy material as her back bow, and the same material also could be seen behind her front bow. A black heart-shaped pendant hung from her choker, matching the one depending from the black belt around her waist. Her earrings were heart-shaped and black. Her tiara was silver with a black pattern, with a blue gem in the center. She also wore her Dark Jewelry Star Bracelet on her left wrist. Her transformed hairstyle also had black shading in some areas in addition to the standard blue. She originally had a harp like bow as a weapon, shown in the promotional photos, but it was replaced with a ice sword in the show's run.

Holy Grail Super Mercury, age 15: Using the Holy Grail, Sailor Moon escapes from Master Pharaoh 90 and it's powers negates Sailor Saturn's destructive powers. Sailor Mercury and the other senshis gain their Super forms. Ami gains sleeves in her super form, but like the others except Pluto and Saturn(who didn't gain her super form due to her being the last to awaken), she didn't use any of her powers.

Super Sailor Mercury(Pegasus version), age 16: In the Dream arc , she was attacked by Fisheye and rescued by Guardian Mercury , who gave her the Mercury Crystal which allowed her to transform directly into her Super form and call upon the Mercury Harp .

Eternal Sailor Mercury, age 17: Almost nothing remains the same in Ami's form as Eternal Sailor Moon. After the last upgrade in the Stars arc, her choker was V-shaped and the center of her front bow was a blue five-pointed star. Her shoulder pads were large light blue puffs with two patches of blue fabric attached to the bottom. Her gloves became longer, reaching to her upper arms. In artbook illustrations, she had blue V-shaped wristbands with golden five-pointed stars on them, but they were not present in the manga. Her belt consisted of two blue ribbons, a blue one and a light blue one, with two long, thin back ribbons, clipped together by a golden five-pointed star. Her back bow was light blue. Her skirt became two-layered, the top layer being blue and the bottom light blue. Her boots were knee-length and white, and each had a blue V-shaped border with a five-pointed star at the top. Her tiara gem was a blue five-pointed star and her earrings were blue, dangling five-pointed stars.

Sailor Hermes, age 26: Unknown, but it was possible that Cosmos grieved for Sailor Hermes along with Sailors Ares, Zeus and Aphrodite who died at the hands of Sailor Chaos.
