A college drop out named Mae left her school to come back home to all her friends - Bea, Gregg, Angus and Casey.
Things slowly crumble when Mae finds out by her friends that Casey took off to do his own thing. But Mae and her three friends slowly reunite among band practices where Mae plays her old bass (3 mini games you play which include the three songs; Die anywhere else, Weird Autumn, and Pumpkin head guy *orsomething*) Eventually Mae, 20 years of age goes out to party in the woods with her friends, though only Gregg and Angus are of legal age. You (Mae) get's too drunk and throws up over your old high school sweetheart-- then you get taken home by Bea who you upset because you two used to be old friends and lots of shit went down and she drops you off and leaves-- then things get weirder after that. Then Halloween " Harfest " comes along and things go even deeper into the ground and you see a teen get kidnapped and it turns into a weird ghost hunting type thing to stop whatever the heck is going on with your friends behind you. And this game is tailored different ways -- you could get one ending out of like 3 maybe idk and yeah, it just keeps getting stranger. Ghosts, murders, missing people, and an ending no one could really see coming tbh, I will say if you are a bit sensitive to it, there is a wide range of satanism in it-- not that the characters worship it but like-- are unknowingly surrounded in it, and stuff, weird--weird stuff at the end, lmao. But it's a great game in general, beautiful art style and backgrounds, the music is amazing, and the characters are charming. It's worth a buy and play tbh or even watching someone like JackSepticEye play it, he did a great playthrough. But yeah, Night in the Woods m'dude.
