Hi guys!
It's another pink pony; this one is Classica, an OC for one of my fantastic Chicago bronies. Like the rest of this set, she's been done in bubinga. I've had fun with the bubinga, and it's a nice wood to work, but it's not my favorite and I'll be glad to move on to some other wood. I think four ponies in a row of the same wood is enough (the fourth pony, another Pinkie Pie, is finished, but won't post until I've refitted my lathe with some new chucks and I can turn her stand. It could be a couple of weeks while I figure out how, exactly, this is done.)
Glasses. Guys. I do not like glasses. I mean...I really do not like doing glasses. So oddly shaped for pony faces, and hard to set in place on the pony. This particular pair is made of ebony, which at least made it easy to make thin and do small engraving, but I'm still not really happy with them at all. Maybe it's my heads. I've been working hard on rounding them out, but they still aren't the spherical shape that real glasses sit on so that doesn't help the fit.
Oh well. On to Roseluck!
