A wand with a moon theme for one of my Texas bronies. Lots of fun with the design on this. I was told "something with a moon theme," and I could not for the life of me think up a good way to do it. One big wrap around moon would just be a silver geometric pattern, and the idea of craters was giving me a hard time. But phases of the moon can be portrayed stylistically, and I thought it'd be fun to line 'em up like this.Related content

The wand was turned on a lathe, and the designs were were done about 75/25 with a rotary tool and a chip carving knife respectively. I love to use hand tools, but I'm afraid patience with a task has never been one of my virtues.
