Wait, it had a more Hell Knight-esque face design in the beta days?

They should reuse this design for Nightmare Imps. (don't mention prowlers, I get that they're this elite shadow imp, but it's not the same).

Cool, looks like Vic Rattlehead crossed with a xenomorph.

Love this Imp design much more than the one we got in the retail game. They should've made this imp the regular one and used the model with eyes and purple streaks for a rarer, more powerful variant.

This painting is glorious! The E3 imp design was better than the final game design, which went a little overboard. This was perfect! Like a loveletter to people like me. I would pin this on my wall in a heartbeat. Faved!

This (and all your DOOM art looks amazing! Also did you see the latest trailer? They redesigned the imp a bit by giving him larger chin horns and large yellow eyes. Not a huge change but noticeable. Also they gave the Cacodemon a color scheme closer to the original + glowing eyes.

How does xenomorph see? I think of two possibilities. Either there are visual sensors seeing through the head like a one-way mirror, or very sensitive sonar vision. So much so, that it detects mere sounds emitting in the environment, causing visual images in its sensors.
