Description
She stood alone in the darkness, trying to compose herself. The announcement would be made soon, making her decision final. There had been no other way. How else could she escape the pain? Her world had come to a standstill when she learned of her lover’s death. All she knew now was misery and darkness. This was the only way to move on, the only way to forget the pain… and yet, there seemed to be something pulling her back. What if this was not the ray of hope that she longed for; not the dawn of a new beginning, but rather the dawn of the eventide?

I wanted to create a feeling of detachment from the world, with Miz, so I made her area strikingly different from the rest of the world. Also I wanted to try to convey that feeling where it seems like world is going by unaware of the tragedy you feel. Like the world just keeps going, and you feel left behind.
