Amazing detail and texture, this is a hauntingly strange image that looks like it's come directly out of a nightmare. The twisting and contorting figure is very intriguing, there's something just so mysterious here.
On the other hand, it seems you added a bit too much light. The cluster of "spotlights" in the middle are a little too bright. Publishing a making of was a brilliant idea, but you could have added a little more movement. Although the view is canted you might want to exaggerate a little more on the perspective. Try using the airbrush more to give certain elements a softer effect.
If you like, you can take a look at Cyborg's Google Chrome themes. His Fantasy themed templates are often very detailed and there is a large variety of textures; you might feel inspired. [link]
