I liked it, it wasn't as good as it could have been, but it was better than other attempts to cinematize books... Eragon for example.. they screwed that to hell and back a few times

I never read Eragon, and to be quite honest, i think the movie trew me off of doint it... Even tough the basic premisse seemed very interesting
The Hunger Games on the other hand was much cooler than i expected, but a couple of things bothered me a lot. Especially the part were Catniss spends 3 minutes getting to know Rue and 5 minutes crying for her. Her story wasn't as developed as it should have been, but i get why: they still had a lot of book to fill in a 2 hour movie

Well, 5 minutes screen time but "movie time" it was like forever and a day and they rode unicorns and were best friends forever and then they died of old age and stuff o.O
Eragon is a good book series imo, but don't listen to me I'm a fucking weirdo.
I have several other book series you may like if you like fantasy books with unique magic systems and killing people and kings and stuff O.o

I know, rigth? The first thing i thought when i heard the Hunger Games series were going to be translated to film was: "Oh boy, is it going to be 2 and a half hours of Catniss running in the woods with inner monologue?" - that would suck for all of those who haven't read the book. For a long time all she does is drag herself miserably throughout the woods... but they kinda pulled it off nicely. By boyfriend only yawed twice and didn't fell asleep, so it's a good sign xD
I was trying to read something along the lines of the fantasy world and such, and i wanted to start with the Game of Thrones (it's all about games with me, lol), but since i'm not a native english speaker, deeper texts (The Hunger Games is quite a simple book)tire my fragile brain (so, if its in pdf form and wriiten in a uncomplicated fashion, i'm inclined to try your suggestions)

I agree with you. I almost cried, but I had to be strong for all of my friends (being the only guy amongst a group of girls has its benefits, as well as its downfalls)
