Kithood

Born to Ravenwing and Fadingmask, Jadekit was the first born in the litter and the first to open her eyes to the new world around her. She was a playful and curious kit who was always determined to win every playfight she had with her sisters in hopes to become one of Ridgeclan’s best warriors one day. Dad’s tail was good fighting practice too whenever he flicked his tail at her and she’d swipe at it.

Adolescent

Reaching apprenticeship Jadepaw was more than excited about sparring with her mentor Brackenwing for the first time but did worse than she expected. For the first few days she was incredibly clumsy but eventually managed and improved her balance. Close with her family especially her sister Dovepaw. As for her other sister, although close, Jadepaw’s bond with Ivypaw was nothing compared to the bond she shared with Dovepaw. The two were described to be “joined at the hip” due to their unwillingness to separate for very long.

Adulthood
Becoming a warrior, Jadepaw was now named Jadefang for her fierce personality and although joyful about it, both Ivyskip and herself grew sad after noticing that Dovewhisker was slowly becoming more distant to them ever since meeting a tom from one of the neighbouring clans after bumping into him on a patrol.

Despite promising to tell no one as Dovewhisker snuck off into the night to meet him, she was filled with mixed emotions especially disapproval but could never betray her. Jadefang tried warning her sister to stop hanging out with him but after her warnings were ignored, they quickly turned into pleas.

One night when she was asleep in the warriors’ den, the she-cat awoke after hearing a noise and after going out to investigate, she spotted both her siblings and questioned them. After finding out that Dove was planning on leaving the clan, she grew furious, threatening to tell everyone even though they both knew she was bluffing, Dovewhisker said Jadefang disregarded her feelings and stormed off. As days turned into weeks, she eventually accepted that Dovewhisker’s first choice would always be that tom and for that, she felt betrayed, even more so when she found out that Ivy knew about Dove's plans for a long time. She was determined to find her again so set off looking for her whenever she had the chance. After finally finding Dovewhisker at the territory border, Jadefang was shocked when her sister explained why she chose to run off with her mate. She was going to have his kits and just couldn’t risk having them here. Begging her to stay once more, Jadefang was left unsuccessful and watched her sister say her farewell then leave.

Slinking out of the shadows the cliff face provided and revealing herself, Jadefang’s usually blueish-grey fur took on a light orange hue after stepping into the sunlight. The she-cat’s expression calm and relaxed as her gaze scanned her surroundings before sitting down and observing the sun setting on the horizon. The sky took on a splash of warm colours, mainly pinks and oranges which slowly faded as night time took over. Curling her lips into a small smile, Jadefang listened to the sound of crickets chirping around her for a little longer before, although reluctantly, stood up and padded off towards the warriors’ den. She loved watching the sun set, it helped the she-cat relax a bit more as well as think to herself after a long day of work.
