I used watercolors (half pans and tubes) on pastelmat (yeah the paper that does crazy things when its loaded with washes
)Going to enter this to the thematic folder of December thefavouriteshowcase.deviantar… in (one of the best groups out there with an amazing founder and solid dedicated art lover )

I like to re-watch of my favourites and I realized that I have "favourites among favourites". And this painting belong to them. The watercolor is so difficult technique (actually, I did not try it seriously, I hadn't enough courage). I like the combination of colors - these violet-blues mixed with yellow-orange. And the atmosphere

The atmosphere is so wonderfully rendered !
For me the irregular edges on top of buildings are plants and small trees. We often see them like that in Paris (or elsewhere!)

i know exactly the roof tops you are talking about and i LOVE them, they are green oasis in the middle of the concrete
i didnt want to keep everything aligned, i liked the loose lines sporadically. It is clear i was focusing on color and not on sketching with this.
But it is in my mind to make a watercolor with sharp lines and clear sketching in the near future.

the bleeding thing is a result of the media (watercolors) but mostly a result of the paper lol, pastelmat is repelling the washes somehow so its very exciting to work on it

the photo was amazing to me on its own the moment i saw it i knew i had to touch it.
But what is funny in the end is that our Art is nothing but en extension to Ourselves. Seeing the painting i created is like seeing Tomi's photo with various colorful filters on.
