I didn't get to comment on this last week, but gosh..when I saw this in my inbox, I was in love~ I love the coloring and the mood it brings to this. A sort of air of mystery of the night, a moment on the rooftops and a surprise leap! But Donnie has her. Of course, she knows.
The sky looks so gorgeous here, it's a perfect backdrop to the rest of the picture. Everything in the background...it sort of reminds me of a more...cartoony-simple style? Comic??? I'm not sure at all if that's what you were going for, but it gives a very playful feeling to the drawing too. From the dynamic aspect of the pose, their expressions, the lighting...it's just a very animated picture! I can see why you had fun with it, and it's just so so good to see this OTP again

Ah for the background, I just wanted something else than a blank canvas, I wasn't aiming at something in particular when it comes to rendering, more like giving an idea of a setting/general landscape
